Something strange about this Josef Lebovic. You must register first to give tender yet he has NO list of titles on offer just a pics of several posters and a general description of what's in the collection. I've spoken to someone who has asked him for a list. No list!!!
Matt, I'm sure anyone seriously considering such a purchase will be able to get a detailed list or will fly in to examine the collection in person
Chris, whether or not it is wise to sell as a few lots or sell piece by piece is a matter of perspective.
by selling in lots, though they will get closer to a wholesale price than a retail price, it will happen all at once.
if you sell piece by piece, who knows how long it would take to get your money
furthermore, unless it is sold as singles in say one or two giant marathon auctions, it could take years to accomplish such a task.
However if you sell everything for even say $500,000, you can then turn around and invest the money and if you invest wisely, with considerably less time involved, you could wind up achieving the same results without the headache of years worth of single sales
a good example is in the Profiles in History "Hollywood Auction" on July 30th & 31st
someone is selling a collection of photoplay editions as a 750 piece collection. I happen to know the owner personally and I know he wants his cash all at once, rather than over the next several years, and statistically, it possible the collection could even go for much more than I.. pardon me, I mean "he" .. could get by selling individually
