They lost me with the CGI suit.

We are only so many steps away until actors are no longer needed, and everything is CGI.

If I were a costume designer, I am filling out applications to medical school right now.

I hate CGI myself... but what is the difference between this and 300 or Sucker Punch (or Transformers or Iron Man or or or...)?

Hate is such a harsh word, Dr.Caul.   wynk
CGI is just another tool the FX artists have at their disposal and many of us appreciate it's use.
Though, I still can't figure out why they had to use CGI for his uniform.
Looks too freakin' phony for my tastes....

I'm no fan of CGI myself, in the right place, and not over done, and I'm fine. I wasn't sure about this movie, but a 1970 Dodge Challenger going sideways......I'm sucked in. ;D

I like it, when done really well, OR when done not well at all, I love the low budget direct to video horror/SF/monster kinda movies, good fun popcorn fodder.

Come on, out of every comic book hero, Green Lantern is the most CGI there is. You think it, the ring creates it. How the hell would you create giant green phantom "things" without CGI.

It's the suit, Dale.
Your ring assumption sounds great, but why a fake suit on top of that?  A bit much..

I have a feeling that this movie is going to majorly blow.  Maybe even as bad as Fantastic Four.

Just a hunch, but a strong one.

Super Heros movies are what they are, sure some better than others, but to expect cinematic genius is silly. Relax and have some brainless popcorn fodder fun.

Yes, superheroes movies are dumb by nature, but some are less silly than others.

Spiderman 2 and Catwoman came out a month apart in 2004.  Are they equally bad, Ari?  Is Howard the Duck as good as the Crow?  Or X-Men and Ghost Rider?  I don't think anyone said anything about cinematic genius.  But there can certainly be dumb and dumber.

I probably shoudn't have posted, as GENERALLY i dont like them, I havent seen Spiderman 2 or Catwoman, or Howard or The Crow, Xmen I have and liked (liked) it, Ghostrider not seen.
(I should say its not that I dont like them as much as I dont go out of my way to see them, if one is on TV and someone I am with wants to watch it, thats about as far as i get - stuff like SUPERARGO is a different matter)

So, Ill be quiet, I also dont like to comment on whether beef is better than pork, cos i eat neither.

move along.. ;)
