Poster Goddess

[MyDear]

I just started scanning one of my poster treasures.. several issues of
1919-1921 editions of German monthly magazine "DAS PLAKAT"

If you think about poster collecting being something new or unusual, you have
to think about this monthly magazine which was first time issued back in 1909 -
100 YEARS ago!
this was a poster collectors, poster publishers, poster lovers magazine.. fully
devoted to POSTERS, just posters and only posters..


most of the reproduction in the magazine are are actual lithographs.. small
size beauties, many full page inserts.. the are simply small size lithographic
posters..

Ok, here is the cover of January 1921 issue.
Can we call this lady a Poster Goddess as what we can see, she is a beauty
comparing to King Kong, she is even bigger than 50 Foot Woman, She is nude..
and she is blowing posters from her hand... simply a Poster Goddess.

MyDear, you will have to excuse my "unwashed cousin" (figuratively speaking only) FallenAngel, who hails from the boonies of Indiana.  He occasionally stops staring at his 10 foot tall poster of Scarlett Johansson to get on this board, hijack charming threads such as yours, and pick fights with vastly superior collectors such as moi  

I have a special present for you, Fallen, that Mother Nature has bequeathed to me (see attached pic).

P.S. Are you female, under 40, single, and live w/in 50 miles of DC?  Most ladies are frightened away by the 15 framed beauty posters in my apartment but I suspect you would tolerate my degeneracy

You can get the magazine on ebay,de sure.. prices start at 100 Euro and go much above that if the issue sold is complete and has all lithographs in nice condition. I was outbid recently for one nice issue at 430 Euro.
 You can also get individual pages, framed in nice frames on ebay at 200 euro each..
There is also a book with hundereds of images from the magazine.

This would make an incredible full size poster (if it wasn't produced as one back then already)....

This imagery is absolutely fantastic, IMHO!
