congrats on the rear window. Yeah, I've never managed to win one either.
I only went after this one lobby card. Paid too much, but I had to have it. First pairing of Astair and Rogers, and this is the only piece of paper that shows them
congrats Tsadly, I did not win that Clara Bow posters
Minor acquisition:
Congrats T. Great buys, the Laura 3S went for a fair price
Rich, were you trying for this one?
One of my sub collections, abeit a very small one, is Hitchcock. I'd love to one day own ALL of Hitchcock's OS from 1940 on... A dream. I own a few but I'm so, so far from achieving my goal. The guy made A LOT of movies. It's really one at a time. All folded except for North by Northwest. Don't know why. It was in mint folded condition and I decided, years ago, to linenback it. I'll probably rebuy at some point.T
Thanks guys! I'm especially happy to have landed that British poster for Devil Girl, I have been looking for a folded copy for a while. Also glad to get my hands on The Nude Vampire, as it completes the trio of French 1P designed by the great Druillet for those early Jean Rollin movies that I own; Le Viol du Vampire and Le Frisson du Vampire being the other 2 (all of them are pretty bad by the way, the posters being by far the best thing about those films!).
And of course, each movie has been re-released so many times. Even making a collection of One Sheets from say, Rebecca, would be a task in itself.
So true. And then you have the French and Italians, which are usually vastly superior in design. T
Also got this JP B1 for my favourite Batman movie. Very glossy double-sided video poster with the normal 'totem style' on the reverse.
