I found this interesting document (en français) with a little Googling. It is an inventory of the archives of AINF, the national risk prevention and safety organization that produced the poster:
http://www.archivesnationales.culture.gouv.fr/camt/fr/egf/donnees_efg/2003_029/2003_029_INV.pdf

There are a lot of posters!  I really wish the document had images if the others are even half as entertaining as this one.  Anyway, the "Ne soyez pas distrait" poster is from 1974.

For non-francophones, here is the AINF document translated into English with Google Translate

It looks like they thought of every possible hazard.

I wish I knew what "Cet homme est dangereux!" / "This man is dangerous!" depicted.

Not as funny as Steve's but these are some USSR safety posters from 1985-1990s an engineer I know was visiting an old soviet factory and found this stack (some I have in doubles) and they let him keep it.  A couple you have to look at closely to figure out what the warning is all about.  Sorry if this is large post just wanted to share all of em

Gee Crazy Vic, that is a large and impressive collection of safety posters you have there. Not sure what is for the baby one and the black one 2 above.

Haha.  I think it means to take great care of giant pressurized canisters (see nuclear weapons) like you would a baby.   :)

Correct...and the black one is warning you to "store it in the right way".

Those USSR poster are excellent. The paper roll and broken walkway ones are very stylish!
