I'm very new to collecting film posters and getting the right frame seems more difficult than getting the original posters themselves!
I've looked at building my own frame, but sourcing the materials for a single frame is proving very expensive, if I needed to build 10 frames, it would make sense.
I'm looking at snap frames like the following...
http://www.snap-frames.com/products/movie-snap-frameshttp://snapframeswarehouse.co.uk/27-41-Movie-Snap-Poster-Frame-Black-Silver-Snap-Black-25mm-Frame...but have a few questions, do I any sort of barrier board to go behind the poster? Both come with vaguely described plastic screens, I'll have to get in contact with them for specific answers as to whether its plexi-glass, UV protected etc but what is the general consensus on plexi-glass or perspex screens touching the poster? I've seen some people say its fine, others say they should stay separate constantly.
I've also looked at sites like...
http://www.hollywoodposterframes.com/http://www.spotlightdisplays.com/...but I live in the UK so the shipping costs are difficult to say the least.
Would appreciate any help and advice. I don't want a fancy-looking frame, I just want something that will protect an original film poster without paying over the odds.
