I call it "human stupidity".  The movie is shit, it's just based on hype and that poster will be back to being worth a few bucks in no time.

Variety review: North Korea can rest easy: America comes off looking at least as bad as the DPRK in “The Interview,” an alleged satire that’s about as funny as a communist food shortage, and just as protracted. For all its pre-release hullabaloo — including two big thumbs down from Sony hackers the Guardians of Peace — this half-baked burlesque about a couple of cable-news bottom-feeders tasked with assassinating Korean dictator Kim Jong-un won’t bring global diplomacy to its knees, but should feel like a kind of terror attack to any audience with a limited tolerance for anal penetration jokes. Extreme devotees of stars James Franco and Seth Rogen (who also co-directed with Evan Goldberg) may give this Christmas offering a pass, but all others be advised: An evening of cinematic waterboarding awaits.

"An evening of cinematic waterboarding awaits."  *LOL*  Gotta remember this line...

It may be shit ... but so is Plan 9 from Outer Space ... and this is a much nicer poster.  Not $750 nice, but much more than a few buck, especially with all the hullabaloo.  First movie to be cancelled due to "terrorist" threats ... nice historical value there.

The last 4 that sold at EMP (Sept-Nov) were between three and six dollars each.  Someone's gonna hate themselves when they wake up...

I say hats off to the seller though he knows what he's doing.  sm1

An excellent, non-conformist, analysis of what led up to this situation from the Toronto Star's Rick Salutin:

It would be interesting to hear from some of the people bidding on and/or winning those The Interview posters, why they are bidding that much on them.

It certainly would, there must still have been the usual amount printed, so supply can't be too short. My guy who gets my new stuff got me a Quad and a 1sht, he did say Sony have asked for all promotional stuff back; But if they only get 50% returned, that's still a lot of posters floating around out there...

Taking a punt at those prices is Crazy.

Be funny if the film is actually released soon after.
