Nice Ghost Riders, that film (series) posters have always appealed (and I don't' do 'modern' as a rule)

Thanks. I am a sucker for anything with a skull on it. The flames on that one are a bonus!

Need to have a look at the Vectis auction, Jason.
http://www.vectis.co.uk/Page/ViewLot.aspx?LotId=518944&Section=0&Start=200
so whats up with their picture? vertical line in image? and is it a very thin lenticular like your ring 2?

Hey Jason.
Vectis haven't been doing posters for long; properly only since Oct '13.
Their photographers do everything and are learning all the time with new things the company sell.

That line - odd. First time I have noticed it, so thanks for pointing it out.
I will have a look at it as I am there on Friday.

It's pretty thick - feels more sturdy than a typical lenticular - not a cheapy either and is so rare.
Best wishes,
Adam

Spoke to Vectis today and they have retaken the shot.
The fold lines were paper used to show the lenticular image better, not on the actual lenticular.
Best wishes,
Adam

One from the that megabox is the Angels and Demons lenticular bus shelter above.
The others will have to wait for me to regain the strength to unbox them again and
set up the photo stand thing needed to backlight for photos. Suckers are heavy.

Quite a collection! Grab the NBC's and a Space Odyssey and it's the greatest ever.
It astonishes me how many of these have been produced the past ten years.Fifteen years ago I was wondering why they don't make more of them.Great the call was answered but, unfortunately, most of them just didn't do anything for me.The images were often lame, the fields of depth were lacking, just disappointing. There are a few in the past ten years I dig,Monster House is cool, looks like a good quality production.

Besides Space Odyssey and the NBC's (their rarity puts tem in another class) most the pre-'04 lenticulars have a actually come down a bit in price.Lost World,Frighteners...you can find one cheaper than you could fifteen years ago.
It's funny to see the usual sellers with stuff like ET and Lilo listed at $125...was $75 back then.....and even that was way too high! :)

The newer ones are priced insane!! $200 for a Monster House,$200 for an Ice Age....highway robbery! Anything new that comes out is automatically $200-300....stupid! Market value hasn't changed much but gouging is has become standard procedure across the board.
Spiderman and Avatar are unreal too me.Thousands for those? I realize Spidey is the man and Avatar is huge, but those images aren't worth the money.Too me,a great lenticular is one with a great image and good quality,Frighteners,NBC's,Odyssey,Lost World.Material like that is the total package.

Bottom line,if you're collecting for investment, the majority of these will only dip in value in the coming years.
If you're collecting cuz ya just love em',then you have fun road ahead. :)

Happy collecting,

Anthony

I too get a kick at the same sellers with crazy prices for the lenticulars on ebay. Tom Loce for instance asks 5000 for Avatar and occassionally drops the price. I see the pricing go in waves.  I often ask them did they accidentally add a zero to their price.
So once someone who comes across some lenticulars and prices them by what they see on ebay they think they are sitting on gold! lol
there is a seller on ebay local to me that has valued his posters according to Loce.  $4,000 for a Ghost Rider!!
I had a wonderful convo about a Species lenticular that he wanlted 650 for it lol.
So Anthony thanks for checking these out and just posted the Monster House 4 x 6 ft lenticular.  one of my One Sheet Monster House is a prototype. lots of artworks changes for the final version.  Also an underrated Lenti is Texas Chainsaw  Great Depth

stay tuned for a couple more bus shelter pictures

Now that is down right awesome!  I need one of these.  This is one of my daughter's favorite movies.  Unlike me she loves scary stuff...  Are you getting these off eBay?
