I agree it would be better than the green.

I think it is a pretty cool poster but not near as much when next to the original.

Big Heat - 1953 first release on left, 1959 re-release on right.  At first glance they seem identical but closer inspection reveals that the 1959 version was completely redrawn:

I'm not much of a fan of the WB art dept., but the original speaks to it's era which makes it infinitely better than any modern-age interpretation, IMO.
