Can I ask how you know that as it appears to have been removed due to 'an error in the listing', meaning an off-ebay sale was made?

I think seller must have got an offer and relisted for 2k to complete the sale. Does this link work?

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/171215681334?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1

If not, search for auction 171215681334

I saw this when it went on, and he wouldn't deal off Ebay. Looks like someone talked him into selling it that way.

Who ever it was got a steal, I'll bet it was Harry Caul... ;)

Wasn't aware of that until you pointed it out but it's clear that it sold for £2,000/$3,284 as a "Buy It Now."

A steal?

Grief - seems like I am out of touch with poster prices, even those of a subject matter close to my heart.

The problem (in terms of buying that is) with Bond posters now, Simes, is that their prices are higher than ever and will remain at these prices I feel thanks to the 50th anniversary and Skyfall's success.

There are still great deals to be had, however, just like that Dr. No DC.
I recently acquired some door panels for a song and I know some of my friends are jammy sods and bag great deals all the time!
Best wishes,
Adam

Oooo... DPs for which film?  And what is the USD equivalent of "a song" these days?   ;D

For Casino Royale '67, Matt.
I don't disclose prices paid (sure you can understand), but let's just say I've invested well :-)
Best wishes,
Adam

Nice score.  Are they the same images as the Italians?  Let us know when you have them up on your site.

Thanks! They're different images to the Italians, mate.

Got a new thread in the Research & Collecting Tools section, as advised by Jeff, so I will let people know everything to do with the reference site there.
Best wishes,
Adam

Mel you forgot the For Your Eyes Only 3sh, and aren't there other versions of YOLT in 3sh?

(1) Added the FYEO 3S to the end of the image in the prior post.

(2) Only one YOLT 3S is listed in the pressbook, see below image.

(3) BTW today I landed a Man With The Golden Gun 3S off Ebay. Perchance now my Bond collection > yours  ;)

^ Maybe I was confused with the subways since they are in the three versions, my bad.

Also interesting is how they refer to the half sheet as a '22x28 lobby card'.

Also, I feel confident in my Bond paper at this point... ;D

Totally stolen from the jungle of NS4. Never knew vertical "16 sheets" were available before.  Eight times the size of the quads, I guess none have survived:

If I ever find one I'll let you know ;-)

Interestingly though, I just noticed the Newcastle-on-Tyne United Artists branch info (my home town!).
This is what it looks like now:

So are there UK-printed 1/2 sheets with quad art floating around?  They are referred to as lobby cards in the PBs.  Never seen or heard of one before...

I wrote my dissertation on the history of movie advertising and so I can confirm they exist, but unsure about Bond.
My bet is that they will exist.
Best wishes,

I've seen UK printed 1/2 sheets before -- but I don't think I've seen any newer than 1950s.

Never seen any UK Bond ones before - not that this is a statement of anything definitive.

That's all I have encountered as well.  Mostly from the 40s and they usually have an odd yellow or blue border around the artwork.

Came across this today - slightly reminiscent of the Yamaha bike poster that I believe is also on this thread.

61x45 inches.

Here are 141 English half-sheets from 1943 to 1962 (lots of duplication, because when these are found, it is usually a stack of unused ones).
