Medusa Home Video Posters
« on: January 05, 2022, 10:47:24 AM »
Hi All,

I have been collecting mainly 80s/90s Medusa Home video film posters for a while and have amassed a good amount of rare ones, but I'm struggling to find many at the moment.

I wondered if anyone on here had any for sale or knew of anyone willing to part with any?

Thanks

Interesting collection.  I wish I could help you, but I have no idea what Medusa Home video is.  Is it famous?

Hi,

They were a video distributor in the EU, based out of Italy.

These are essential 1980s/1990s video posters, but most were thrown
Away. I really have a passion for the artwork on these posters 😉.

If anyone has any video poster collections from the 80s odds are these will be in there.

I dig those.  The only one I have ever seen before is Wizards of the Lost Kingdom.  I also love the Amazons one.  I had given up hope of ever owning that art in poster form, but came across a theatrical poster recently.  If you ever see another of those video posters or have an extra, let me know!  I havve a few 80s video posters, but I do not think any of them are Medusa.  I am a Concorde/New Concorde fan myself:

Some great images! How often do you guys think are video posters all  new art compared to the theatre release poster art? I know the straight to video would be its own art. Okie

Agree, great thread. I get very nostalgic looking at these kind of posters. My first expoure to poster art was ripping the ads out of the free magazines video stores would give away to promote new releases and taping them to my bedroom wall.

I may have posted this before, but this book by British movie poster artist Tom Hodge (aka The Dude Designs) is a must-have if you are into this stuff:

These are great!

I think the VHS poster for SUSPIRIA is better than the theatrical!
