No, not right in this case , i forgot to pay for postage and you never reminded me either , whereas Jeff owes people 1000s of dollars in stuff and goodness knows if we'll get it back. Its not even close.

Why should he need to remind you?

Over the years, I've helped out many on here, but stopped it when I was asked to receive and send on a package, that kept getting bigger by the month. I eventually sent the several items off.  I had to pester the guy several times to see if they received them, I still never got a response ( until they asked me to do it again, which I refused), or even offer of my costs for packing and shipping, still waiting to this day.

So for me, yes, I'll do it, but only for a select few now.

And, even if you needed reminding, it seems he did that on 26 March, 90 days ago.  Or were you not monitoring this thread?

I think Paul is the only person I’ve ever asked for shipping help, and it was great.  If I remember correctly, I had bought stuff from an auction house in the UK that doesn’t ship (???) so I needed someone to pick it up from me and Paul did.  Am I right, Paul?  I hope I thanked you for the hassle, because it is a hassle.  I would never ask again unless it was an absolute necessity, meaning a poster I must have at all cost and cannot get without a third party’s help.

I'm getting very confused. Tang can fix his issue with Paul very easily, or Paul can send Tang a PayPal invoice for the owed postage. I can't see how this needs to get complicated.

I'm not sure what Tang's legal post means.

Was this in response to Tang or Paul?  Confused.

I sent Tang Many emails asking if he had received the package, as I was more concerned it had arrived OK. which he ignored for weeks. He eventually after much pestering  sent an email saying "yes" that he had them, I told him how much postage was as he never asked or even offered it, and to this day I've not heard from him.

I have as T says helped out several members on here, and like T all were very appreciative of this, T even sent a bit extra for me to have a drink on him, classy guy.  So there are people I will help and others I won't.  And Tang has had the cheek to ask me again for help twice.   It's not about the money for me, it was he was so unappreciative about the help.   I wasn't going to mention all this, but now the shoe is on the other foot...  As T says  Karma.

Paul you should always get the postage costs paid upfront as Jeff always did. The problem was he just forgot to post the items on.

Problem is Matt, I'm just too trusting, and the several guys off here I'd dealt with were spot on, and like I would, and have been, very appreciative..

It is unacceptable for your kindness and trust to be abused Paul. It is 100% down to the recipient to ensure you are both thanked and paid. No sign of an apology either.

FWIW I did recently ship for Tang, and while it took a couple of weeks to get off the ground (maybe he is busy), overall if was easy peasy.

I even got an extra tip for my troubles (thanks Tang!)   thumbsup.gif

This is not about the money, this is about peoples attitude. The money is secondary.

It's been over two years, I just consider it paying my fee to see the kind of person I was dealing with. Keep the money, it's more important to you than me.

Like I said, all water under the bridge to me.
