KUDOS to EMovieposter
« on: October 23, 2019, 06:49:40 PM »
I don't think Bruce and Co get enough love around here, so just wanted to give some.
When I checked out on my latest ebay purchase, I noticed they were charging sales tax for items now.
Of course Heritage has been charging tax for a long time as well as every other major auction site (apparently if you have at least 200K in yearly sales in most states you are supposed to), so I just wanted to say thanks to Bruce and Company for keeping it real and not scamming people out of more money by collecting taxes like so many of these other sites are.
Two thumbs up  thumbsup.gif

No, it's been pretty busy here, just tired of being taxed to death.
Hope all is well with you

Unfortunately eBay and Etsy are bound by law in a few states to charge tax and dole it over to the state.  My state is included  :(

They are not supposed to keep the money, of course - it goes to your state's coffer.  I agree, it's a pain.  I miss the old days when the internet was a little more free from government policing our spending.  Sales tax is a good example of double taxation if ever there was one.
