"Poster Rehab Clinic" - by Bags Unlimited
« on: June 16, 2018, 10:33:04 PM »
I just finished watching this and it's hugely informational for those that want to perform small repairs, cleaning and archival prep to their posters, prior to bagging or storing. All the materials are available from Bags Unlimited (and from other vendors, too, more than likely).

Hi Jeff, I've used the archival document tape, and eraser dust cleaning bag for many years, though did not know Bags Unlimited sold them.  I'll check out their prices.  The document tape is, like they mention, very thin and protects tears very well from spreading.  Okie

Hey Okie, I know there are several types of repair tape/tissue that are available, that book repairers also use. The brand the BU guy is using is Lineco. Certainly an alternative to going "full linen backing" if  wanted and if damage or tears are small.

Lineco's Mending Repair tissue, which is more transparent, also is one that looks  thumbsup.gif, too, because it also becomes more invisible, once applied. Amazon has this (0.5" wide x 50 feet roll) for $8.23

Hi Jeff, Yep, Lineco is the same brand I've always used, too.  Okie
