French posters
« on: September 24, 2015, 08:05:30 AM »
I open a topic about french posters as I didn't find anyone on the forum, only about the printers, what is quite strange... So I open it with some few ones (47x63 inches)

Great posters there, Zoongrew.

And just a little side observation about your Never Say Never piece. It's interesting how light green/hazel artist Michel Landi decided to make Connery's eyes.

That little detail caught my eye.  ;D

Maybe green eyes were highly fashioned at this time or was it a special command from Sean Connery ? Or Landi was quite drunk when he painted this... I didn't ever notice this ;)

here is the French door panel with the photo of Connery for NSNA, as a comparison, with his 'baby browns' :

His face is largely more "sunny" than his hand... Maybe Landi did something wrong there too.

In the photo panel, it looks like: 1. his hand was closer to the flash, and 2: maybe the makeup person didnt apply as much makeup (if any) to his hand, as was applied to his face. If she/he didnt do that (apply makeup to his hand for the photo), that would have been an oversight, more than likely.

Now back to French posters.  ;D

No no no no... not back yet :) his hand was closer to the flash and so reflectors should have been adjusted up to the head and reveal that finally Connery got green eyes ! And Landi was right so ah ah

Just saw this, and no, I don't like it at all.  It looks like Cay Grant is eating Ingrid Bergman's face.  Awful, Imo.  Sorry, you know I'm not one to shy away from stating what he thinks.

On looking at it again, it does look like Grant's about to take a bite out of her chin.... and Bergman welcoming it.  Doh.gif
