Can we have a dealers post your site thread? Not a discussion of the dealer in question, but an allowable link to a website.
No auction links (ebay, Bruce, Rich, killing myself here to guys).
Looking for dedicated maintained dealer or collection sites will work too I guess. Little bored, want something to browse!

It's a good idea. I'll pin this one and see how it goes.

Helloooo!
Our creaky old website is still at www.quadbod.co.uk (http://www.quadbod.co.uk) ...
... and there are plenty of bargains at Quadbod on MoviePosterBid.com (http://www.movieposterbid.com/search.asp?nsearch=quadbod)
... plus plenty of images at Quadbod Picasa online web albums (http://picasaweb.google.com/quadbod12)
... old friends and new are equally welcome!
Best wishes,
Terry - www.quadbod.co.uk (http://www.quadbod.co.uk)

Here is my Picasa gallery. It is separated into various folders mostly by country of origin, but also including a "for sale" section and a section devoted to Alamo Drafthouse and other silkscreens. Feel free to browse, post comments, etc.

Hello Stew, I have known of the site for several years, the owner and I used to regularly bid on the same poster so a bit of a bugger really. Since Ebay has now hidden everyone's name, I don't know who I'm bidding against.
Great site though, they have some Very nice pieces.

Specialising in Japanese Movie Posters - mainly B5 Chirashi, but I have a few movie programmes as well, and B1/B2's coming soon.
Hope it's of interest to a few people in the forum. The site is relatively new, but its been a work in progress for quite some time. You can easily view listings sorted by country, director, actor, artist, genre etc. I welcome any feedback, as my aim is to make it as easy to use and informative as possible.

In addition to selling these very popular frames, do you also collect movie posters?
Thank you Brude! Yes, I love Movie Posters and have thousands on hand, most are for sale but I have my favorites that I will never sell. One of the things I have to do in the next year is get the posters I want to sell listed on my site. I currently have some of them on there but 90% aren't. I have alot of 1 sheets from the 70's in my collection and a few from earlier years. Every once in a while they release a poster that I love from the current films being released, but in my opinion most are nothing like the flims of past!
Thanks again Brude and have a great weekend!

The 70s was a great decade for paper.

Thanks Brude, off the top of my head; "actually looking at them right now on my wall," I like Without Warning and Taking Of Pelham One Two Three. Jaws is another favorite that I have along with Soylent Green. But there are so many more. What I really would like is to one day have a couple of the greats Like Rear Window. I like a lot of the 50's Sci Fi stuff as well. I could go on and on.
Have a great weekend!

Welcome Robert,
I have several of your frames up on my walls, and am probably ready to pick up a few more. They are good quality and easy to use. If you look around, you will find several threads recommending Spotlight as a good source. In addition to normal ones, I have built a very nice LED rope light lightbox using a spotlight frame. Very easy project thanks to the frame.
I am also interested in your collections. Mine is also mostly pre-80 material and have the same feeling about the newer posters.

I have a lot of 80's posters as well and like some of them, Without Warning is actually from 1980 but like you, I love pre 80's and really pre 70's.
Have a great weekend!

Hello everyone, I'm very new to poster collecting, and of course you can call me Mike.
My favorite movie posters are 70's to now, but I've only bought 3 so far for my Theater room at Movieposter.com The packaging was excellent, and arrived on time... All were Rolled NM.
Robert... Expect some business from me as well. Not only Bruce has great stuff, but you do as well.

I'm looking for certain posters for my theater room, and can't find them on any sites I know.
Hi Mike, good to see you over here.
I think you need to understand the mechanics of new poster distribution. Studios distribute to the theaters. Theaters give posters to employees as perks (or sometimes sell to dealers). The employees sell to dealers, or retail in places like craigslist. The material is then in the hands of collectors, and will turn up when someone wants to thin collections, or is getting out entirely.
The best time to find a new poster is right when it is released, or right when the advance poster expires. A couple of months later, it is in the hands of a collector, and then yoiu need to wait until it becomes available. The dealers of newer stuff tend to turn the popular stock over very quickly.
So, look at the theater. If it is gone, look on C4raigslist. If not there, try eBay from reliable sellers (hints on bootlegs is elsewhere on this board). If you still haven't had luck, the only real choice is to set watchlists on emovieposter, Heritage Auctions and eBay, and then be patient.
-
If you look in the "Dealer Experiences" section, you will find threads titled "dealers to avoid" and "dealers to praise". That's probably a good start.
-
Cool peeps, Stew & Jay... Thanks!
P.S. I'm scared to buy fakes. >:(

Short black for me also, although I like turkish coffee a lot, and if it must have milk, mine is soy please.
One thing I hate about myself (there is many things but one of them) is I sometimes order a SOY CHAI LATTE! (least I can eat fat now so its not a skinny soy chai latte)
OK I can die now.

Duly noted - no milk. Good luck find soy in this house, Soy sauce doesn't count right?
The closest I could get to a the refined taste of a Turkish short black would be to drop a pellet of the cat's poop in it...

stuff it, I aint fussy, 3 x spoons of instant and half a cup of hot water.

London based dealer, film, advertising, travel, sport and propaganda posters www.antikbar.co.uk
Hi there and welcome - how does your service with Poster Mountain work? For example, if I wanted to linen back a quad, is it a case of paying the £100 through your website, then shipping you the poster and it'll arrive back with me after a few weeks with no other charges?

Offaleater.com is part way there. Well the poster section is in its way and there's all stuff I have on hand listed. Except lobby cards and stills. Rest of stuff is in storage.
The other non poster parts isn't there yet. But that won't interest many anyway unless you are deranged.
I wonder if people can find the posters though. It's the most user unfriendly site in the world but I don't care.

Got this email from MPE, thought I would share as a reminder for all to stay vigilant online:
This morning multiple attempts to breach our cloud server were made. They were not successful but we are experiencing an issue related to this. Current bid amounts are not presently showing. We will have this resolved by Sunday afternoon, in plenty of time before auction close. We apologize for any inconvenience.
-
I finally decided to put my collection online - it will be a huge work as we are talking about a LOT of posters, but fortunately most of the photography is already done.
Movie Posters from the Socialist Countries: www.post-soc.com (http://www.post-soc.com)
I created also a facebook page, where i post the updates: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Post-Soccom/733688966754452 (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Post-Soccom/733688966754452)

Our holdings at movieart.com now reflect over 4300 different posters. Name one other retails dealer who can match that!
-
^ Ok, I'll have a go, Chisolm Larsson (http://www.chisholm-poster.com/) in New York with 50,000 original posters (http://www.chisholm-poster.com/about.html), so I'd be sure most of them would be different!
Your website says you have 11,000 separate poster titles (http://www.movieart.com/about-movieart/). That would mean you have more than 4300 different posters, like at least 11,000? Maybe you mean you have 43,000 different posters.
-
I checked our database. We actually have a relational database that has titles, sizes, quantities, related actors and directors, prices etc. Right now we have about 12000 titles in the database, although some of these have zero quantity. We conservatively estimate that we have about 25,000 posters. And your point is well taken. I certainly did not think of Chisholm Larsson Gallery in New York. They have a very big inventory indeed, and they are fine folks.

Cant believe I've been on the forum for five years and not added my website to this.
Any www.timelessmoviemagic.co.uk (http://www.timelessmoviemagic.co.uk) has around 2500 items for sale. As a rough estimate I think I have another 4000ish posters/lobby cards/trade ads/magazines etc to list.
I'm also going to add a ' My Gene Tierney collection ' page when I get the time which will be fun to do.
See you guys there!

I'm Lionel, I'm from France and I'm collecting movie posters since 1984. I'm the happy owner of Mauvais-genres.com, a french website dedicated to Vintage Movie posters and rare collectibles, especially in the "Genre" movies (Horror, Scifi, Noir…) and mostly French movie posters.
I also have a Brick'n Mortar Store located in Villeneuve-les-Avignon in the south of France. 20000 posters and stills in stock and a real love for collecting them !
Enjoy !

Well, then you just did :) My German friends just saw "Quest of Fire" and he contacted me asking if I had any.... I advised him to get the Druillet one and did some search on your website for the design.... and today, there are there in stock :)
"I wish I had the magical power to add" - Easy, just go to your website log and check for the search history... or even better, ask your webmaster to create a log file or send you an email for any search done on your website.
