I have a soft spot for the late 60's ... great music, free love, and the kool-aid ran freely. Or so I've heard - was a bit before my time.
Still, the poster art was fantastic ... here's a few I've collected over the years.

Fillmore BG105 - Jimi Hendrix (1968)
Wow... is that Hendrix and original? If so it's probably worth more than 90% of the film posters displayed here! That is gorgeous.
-
Thanks, yeah its Hendrix and original from 1968 - Rick Griffin art. But its the 2nd printing - practically identical to the first, but printed a few weeks after.
As you say, if this was the 1st printing it adds a few more thousand dollars to the price!

Not my photo but this is the only one I have. One of my favorite bands.

That's a really nice psychedelic poster - hadn't seen that one before!

at one point 35 years ago I had over 3000 Fillmore and Family Dog posters.
I used to deal direct with Bill Graham Enterprises until that asshole Ben Friedman ruined it for me.
the Hendrix poster I had dozens of.. I used to make a display with curtain rods at conventions and the best was when there was a show at the Sheraton on 7th ave & 53rd street. the ballroom had 40ft ceilings so with my wall tables I was able to create a display that was 30 feet high of Fillmore posters.
Comic dealers & collectors loved to buy & trade for them.. I made beau coup cash.... until Ben Friedman stepped in... that asshole

simple story.. I was undercutting his price
he was good friends with Graham & co
he called me up and said we needed to work together.
hey.. I was in my early 20s.. I needed to run my business for my benefit
that ^&%#%$@# somehow got Graham & co to stop selling me posters
Ben Friedman can suck my....... even though the ^&%#%$@# is dead, he can still suck my...........
