While I wait for my large Italian 4F for Horror of Dracula to arrive from Heritage, here are some recent purchases I just received in the mail: all Italian posters from the 1960s, led by a moody (and quite rare) 4F for a Hammer title, Phantom of the Opera. The Brain is yet another version of Curt Siodmak's book, Donovan's Brain, which has been translated to the screen more times than I can remember, this one directed by Freddie Francis of Hammer and Amicus fame. Die, Monster Die is an early adaptation of Lovecraft's famous story The Colour Out of Space for AIP, with Karloff in the twilight of his long career. The Italian version of this poster adapts Reynold Brown's original design quite well and improves on it a bit, imho.

Finally got my last German Jimmy Dean A0 quer (118x84cm), GIANT. This one
was created for the 1960 release, only Dean's first two films had A0 quer posters
in Germany back in 1956... (also attached)

Haha, nice copy too! thumbsup.gif

Okie - Aventura En Rio. I put it to 475 then left it for someone who I was sure would look after her - I am really glad you got it.
That was a really good auction for Mexican posters.
I will take good care of my own Ninon Sevilla purchase - COQUETA, which is also in remarkable condition and I am really happy with.

Nice poster, Okie. If I knew anything about the movie, i would have given you a run for your money. I like it!

Thanks, Wim, Steve, Ealing, and T! Ealing, I hope you find a copy, too; your Coqueta win is quite nice.
One more goodie I got in Bruce's auction: the Dracula Polish Program. I really like the images on this one! Okie

Love the graphics on that Polish Dracula program! Very cool.

I just received my Italian 4F (style B) of Horror of Dracula from the latest Heritage Signature sale, and it's even more spectacular in person. The scale and colors are really impressive. I think I like it even more than the style A that I already own, which I unrolled on the floor next to it in the last 2 pics for comparison. As a Hammer fan, I'm very happy with this pick up.

Yeah, I think Style B wins it, ever so slightly :)
Both are incredible, and the colors look like they were printed yesterday! Lucky guy.
Are you planning on framing them?
-
They're both great - the Style A gives more of a narrative but the Style B is more striking.
Mark
-
you need a lot of space to photo two 4-fogli's like that!
-
I was going to frame Style A, but now that I've got the other one, I'm thinking of framing Style B instead. The framer I used to send my posters to closed his shop due to the pandemic, so now I have to find another good one.
Redman, I put them on my kitchen floor and took the pic from standing up on the staircase, lol.

Antoine: Very nice, gigantic Drac! Sometimes the floor is the only place to unroll the big ones. There's an older thread on APF that is "What's on your floor!"
Ratzkywatzky: Stooges, too! Fun card.
Okie

Maybe we should have classic Mexican film night out near your place, T?! I'll bring the sing along versions and some Michelada supplies. Okie

April has started well.
I Love the lobby card!
-
Thank you. It never comes up for sale. Have seen only two so price history is scarce.
-
Really awesome Dancing Lady card, Ratz!!
Where did you find that?? So so rare.
-
Wow, those 2 Horror of Dracula are great. Respect Antoine.

Dancing Lady card is beautiful and rare.
I had one over a decade ago that came with a collection that also had a complete set from You Nazty Spy!
Sold them both the same evening I got them, but before I even shipped them out I got calls from 4 other Stooge collectors trying to cut the original buyer out (I declined all the other offers though).

I just bought this stunning Italian 4F for a rather obscure independent movie, The Vampire (1957). I love the bright red color that dominates the artwork and the font on the title. The vivid painterly style of the figures really encapsulates the 1950s to me.

I sure like those colors and image on The Vampire as well, Antoine! For just a minute, I thought the vampire may have been played by actor Cliff Robertson. I can just imagine Robertson now as an understated very scary vampire! Getting back to reality: have you seen this movie? I don't recall it. Okie
-
I saw it a long time ago, I'd like to revisit it now that I own this poster. I remember that it wasn't half as bad as I expected, and that it had an unusual explanation for vampirism that was steeped in pseudo-science (probably since it was made during the late 1950s at the height of the sci-fi boom, just before Hammer made supernatural horror popular again).

Two of my latest finds - video release posters for Kiki's Delivery Service and Madeline Lost In Paris.
These were a big part of my childhood and I still love them to this day, so I was very happy I was able to find them after a long search!
I'm not 100% sure on the authenticity of the Kiki poster because I can't find ANY information on the video poster and it's quite different from any I've ever seen - but the seller claimed it was an original and it does look pretty good!
I purchased two of the Madeline posters but due to an error on the seller's part, got a partial refund.

Wonderful! Always love it when people find something that they have an emotional attachment to like this.

Thanks. It definitely feels good to have them around. I have a few more that are special to me stored away due to lack of wall space and frames and the moment. Hopefully that can change when I get myself a bigger place in a few years.
Here are two of my latest acquisitions. US One Sheets for "The Mutilator", both the final poster and the original from when it was known as "Fall Break". "Mutilator" variant is signed by director Buddy Cooper.
It's not my favorite slasher, but it has one of the best pieces of artwork I've seen for a slasher!
(https://i.postimg.cc/SjC9dtPj/fallposters.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/SjC9dtPj)
Not pictured are a Canadian one sheet for 1985's "Hot Chili" and a US one sheet for 1985's "Delivery Boys". Was going to post a picture of them, but forgot to actually get one before swapping them out with The Mutilator.
Hot Chili was definitely one I was excited for because I never thought I'd actually find an original poster for it and it's one of my favorite '80s sex comedies.
I have a few more exciting finds on the way, again two of which I never thought I'd find. If I'm lucky, there will soon be a third!
-
Here's one of the posters I was very excited for - 1984's Snowballing!
It's a highly underrated comedy with a fun cast of characters and actors/actresses. I wasn't sure I was ever going to find one of these because I couldn't find ANYTHING on whether a poster for this film even existed as it seems to have been direct to video. I wasn't even searching for it when I came across it on eBay, and it was VERY reasonably priced! Hopefully I'll get lucky someday with some of the other seemingly non-existent movie posters I'm searching for.

I don't know any of these movies but I love your enthusiasm. This is what collecting should be about... cheers
Also, I love Serial Mom!

Shameless plug. This is available for sale if anyone is interested.
