I have these B1s for Alice Looking Glass to compliment those ones you posted, Skyjackers. Unfortunately I'm missing one (Sacha Baron Cohen). They should join up and form a panoramic picture, but my photos are a bit rubbish and so it looks wonky here.

Post by: Simes on September 25, 2017, 07:20:17 PM: Bond-wise, and since Quantum of Solace, here in the UK, all the character related marketing tends to be the reserve of banners, which are now 5x8 feet in dimension.

There are many digital images, and many that don't even make it to banner form. But I haven't come across paper posters of characters at all.

Does everyone (who's interested) concur?

Tob, these ones are US Wildings. There are 9 in a full set but these 3 are my favourite. They also did 2 bus shelters in this style. I've also seen them as 1-sheet size Wildings, but only on instagram.

Post by: marklawd on September 29, 2017, 01:50:17 PM: I love the Australian Nightmares (have tried - not very hard - to buy a set for years) and all the Japanese Alice in Wonderlands. I think Skyjackers' Harry Potters ended up in my collection. The Star Wars UK bus shelters look suspiciously like the set I gave away earlier in the year and which appeared in a recent Ewbanks auction - great images but I find this large format too unwieldy. I enjoyed watching Miss Peregine and love the Stay Peculiar posters. I have just one example of the artwork - an advance UK DC Cineworld Poster with Miss P and a date of 29 September - wish I could have added others from the set (if indeed there were others).

Not really. Outside of a few exceptions, posters 'designed' in this vein look like thoughtless, photoshopped hackjobs an intern threw together.

But they ordinarily make for drab movie posters/junk generic advertising.

But a few rise above their lowly birth....

These biography films do need effective “star” MPs and these deliver with half heads, funky lighting, and BIG eyes....

So true. Shows even less creativity (ie laziness) on the part of those in charge, who can look at stuff like this and sign off on this kind of blase' imagery.

So it's a trickle down effect, almost.

OT: I showed these to an XX who said "I don't like Blake Lively." Of course, I have no idea who these actresses are or what this flick entails. Just shows my thinking is warped bc others actually associate MPs with the movie advertised....

Skyjackers - think you could be right, I can see character posters for Nutmeg, Jupiter and Rex in IMP awards...perhaps they were printed in Japan. I'll have to keep an eye out!
