Title: Anybody make their own frames?
Post by: bigmike on May 01, 2011, 06:59:37 PM
Does anyone here make their own frames? Or what brand name materials do you use?
Canadian residents, where to you get your frames/supplies from(UV plexi and acid free backings)??

I know about Hollywood posters frames, and spotlight, but Shipping costs/brokerage/import fees/customs to Canada is the problem.

Thanks, Mike

I built one for a French 1 panel. It was more work than I would care to do again. I ordered from US plastics.com and bought trim from the hardware store for the frame itself. I may be wrong but I think SpotlightDisplays ships from Canada.

On their website, it says US shipping is free and Canada pays $30 (which isn't bad), but there are brokerage and custom fees too. So I think its shipped from US, no?

My mistake, you are correct Spotlight does ship from the US. The flat rate must have stuck out in my mind. :P
