Right after I bought it I sent a message to the seller to ask what it would be sent in..
He replied back the next day with "Shipped first thing this morning thanks for your purchase."
It was a $15 shipped poster and Idk if it's even worth the battle of trying to get my money back. Ugh. >:(
-
Did you send him those pics? Looks like he used a more flimsy, thin tube.
You should ask for a full refund.
Ugh... those are some real crimps and bumps it received. Sorry to see that, too. crying
-
Yea, between that and the cell phone company sending my replacement phone to the wrong address, it's been a poor day for mail.
-
It was sent rolled, inside of a trash bag, inside of a thin poster tube that didn't have caps at either end, but instead tape with three packing peanuts on each side. ....
Not mad, just disappointed.

No end caps?? hitself
Even more reason to demand your $$$ back. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
-
Demand your $$$ back.
I've sent a nicely worded email. I'll update on what happens.
-
You're covered by ebay/paypal here...if you start a return through ebay, you'll get your money back in full.
-
Message from the seller, "Wait so the tube was damaged? If so that's a post office issue as when it was sent it wasn't damaged."
Refund claim sent to eBay....
-
Gak, it is just that kind of reply from a seller, that ebay protection was set up for. Did that seller think that sending the poster in a flimsy tube, with a couple foam peanuts, used as end caps, taped to either end, was also acceptable? Mama mia!! Doh.gif
As Tob mentioned, you wont have any problem getting a full refund here. And I'm sure ebay and paypal woud also "enjoy" seeing the poor packaging, as well, if need be.

He is an idiot. Clearly. Good luck with your claim.

I have an open discussion with that seller now I'll be sure to post our conversation soon soon

To commiserate, look what I won---even cheaper b/c I used a ton of ebay bucks on it.

Idiot rolled it w/ that stupid textured hair band in the first photo. Also had it wrapped in a trash bag, shipped in a PVC tube w/ no end cap, just duct tape to cover the end. Will most definitely be getting a refund. You can also see water damage at bottom, so in no ways nm/mint, as described.
This was my b-day gift to myself this year. Damn it all to hell.
-
Seems he may have used the pic of the poster in the frame to partly hide those water marks.
I wonder what the fascination is, too, with trash bags being used as protective wrap? Doh.gif (And asked with tongue firmly planted in cheek)
Sorry to see this, too, hepcatpunk. UGH! :'(

I was going to bid on that auction, glad I didn't now. Good luck with your claim

Oh man. How awful. People suck dude. :(
p.s. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Thanks. I agree. With over 600 items in his store, most of them posters and cards, you'd think he'd know how to ship them. How could you be so clueless?
-
And I'm sure ebay and paypal woud also "enjoy" seeing the poor packaging, as well, if need be.
Oh, I attached all the pics here to the claim.

Bravo, Brandan!!
Always awesome to read when sellers do right by their customers when things like this happen.

Got my money back today, finally, for my BTTF debacle.
Quite the hassle really as seller refused to send a return label. So called eBay up and they gave him an add'l 5 days to send it. Heard nothing. Finally today got a refund email from eBay. Seller was a total d-bag and refused to accept any responsibility for his crappy packaging, but insisted I got a "great deal". Then get a follow up email from him today after the refund, and I quote:
"Hi friend. Just remember I still your address"
Stay classy.
-
I would totally send that to ebay, and ask them for a position on "threats made to clients"
-
+1.
That kind of response is TOTALLY unacceptable.
Report that to ebay, ASAP.
-
Yeah man totally report that. While he's more than likely just trying to be a tough guy, that type of threatening should not be tolerated.
-
Maybe tell him know you've reported him to the police, and maybe do so. You never know, he could be a loon
-
And hopefully he lives thousands of miles away, too.
But seriously, and in any case, this kind of even "veiled threat" can be a punishable offense when done over the net (or phone).

Hey hepcat,
you should ID this ebay seller here (meaning his ebay ID), so that no one else has to deal with him, his crappy packaging, his taking no responsibility OR his idiotic responses, like the one he sent to you.
