Goodness me!
I don't normally like Daybills, but these are superb.
-
That's a BANG! Now we can pretty much say goodbye to November. No one will top that.

Chris, your kids must be getting older and you finally have some “me” time! You’ve been tearing it up lately. 8) thumbsup.gif

Daybills go north for the winter, eh Chris!!!? Will they make it all the way to the Yukon? Nice going! Ah, Shelly Winters as the romantic lead: good times! Okie
-
Wow. The movie poster equivalent of a mic drop. I too am usually not impressed with daybills but there are some tremendous images there. Especially like the Martha Ivers piece. Really nice.
-
Thanks all! These recent batches have been a long time coming...
And Matt - what is this "me time" you speak of?! ;D

The Yukon already had its gold rush Okie ;)

A couple of recent ones I am happy to get. I had been looking for a rolled Raiders one sheet at a decent price for a while.

Great stuff! Need to pick up anything for Them one day, even like the daybill. Macao is awesome!
Have been buying very few posters lately, at least compared to my normal and it's been an eternity since I posted one so what the heck.
This is the only one so far for November, an Italian 2p for 1957's Night of the Demon.
Those are shadows in the corners for those that may ask.

That Italian 2p for Night of the Demon is fantastic, congrats!
-
Macao & Night of the Demon are fantastic!
-
That Raiders poster is beautiful. I remember seeing it as a child growing up in Paris, in French of course. It is one of the first posters I ever noticed.
The rest ain't bad either.

You sure got that right, Chris! I'm Kapow for Macao and Steamin' for the Demon! Nice going RW and Undead! Okie
-
Holy crap that Night of the Demon is just awesome. Wow.
Very happy to get this one last night. A couple small areas of interior paper loss but that doesn't bother me too much. Is there a better image from this film? Hard to imagine. Love this! 1964 re-release Argentinian one sheet.

Cracking, could you post an image of it that you have taken please.

Any argentinean poster is good for me

Original Rolled 1975 Jaws One-Sheet Poster!!
-
Very nice demon and Dean posters thumbsup.gif
-
Beautiful frame up on that Jaws paper! Will look incredible on the wall.
-
Yeah, that Jaws looks very sharp and clean. Congrats!
-
I've been looking for a folded copy of When Worlds Collide for quite a while, so even if the condition isn't perfect on this one, I'm happy the search is finally over. Love that classic 1950s font on the title!

Nice choice, Antoine! Okie

Rolled Jaws makes my mouth water. And not because I am hungry for sushi right now.
And the When World's Collide is also just awesome. Glad you could both get posters you have been wanting for a while
-
Love the rolled Jaws. A hard to find poster.
T

That's a great looking Jaws poster!

Damn you! Stop bidding on the damn Finnish Bardot already. I wanted that thing badly.
Crap.
-
I love bidding against this galaxy fellow because he won’t stop and it doesn’t matter what ridiculous amount I put in, he will overbid me. Sometimes I do it just for fun. Bruce can cut me the check later.
T
-
I bowed out somewhere around $300. I thought that was nuts. Geez.
But I don't think I have ever seen that poster or that image. I wanted it badly. But damn.
-
Are you a Bardot collector?

Only certain images. And I just started. Won't get too much just what I really like.
-
You should check my collection when you get a chance. I'm still missing some pieces, but I have a few good ones.

Well I didn't end up getting that Finnish And God Created Woman poster thanks to that galaxy dude (and you I suppose!). But I did get the White Christmas Finnish poster as well as a really cool Lebanese Cujo. Me likey.

got this during summer and put it up this weekend. it looks great, unlike the film ;D
-
Love the Italian Lucille Ball.
Just got a few more last night through EMP. A couple of classics and one with artwork that makes me drool.
French one panel Some Like It Hot....reissue? According to EMP yes. According to HA no.
Italian one panel for 1966 re-release of Sunset Boulevard. Love the artwork on this.

And finally, this artwork on a 1951 movie poster absolutely makes me drool. French one panel.

The Some Like It Hot is most definitely a re-strike. Probably early 60s, so close to the original release. Like with most re-strikes, the original's colors were more defined, brighter. It was signed Grinsson, and not D'après Grinsson.
I have been looking for an original for a long time but they don't show up very often, if ever, but they do exist.

Congratulations on your three new, cool posters, RW! Looks like all of them may be unrestored, folded, too? Nice! Okie

bed1 A round of applause to you, Seckin...that is a stunning poster. Beautiful!
-
Congrats Seckin, I always loved that format for this title (and you found a folded copy to boot!).
-
This is fantastic. Amazing double panel French poster, AND FOLDED!!! I would so love to own one. Alas, I'm stuck with a linenbacked copy puke2 Now I must go back on the hunt.

Best poster of the year! What a work of art. It’s amazing when a great movie and great poster art line up. Kudos, my friend!!

I'm on the train of congratulations with everyone, Seckin! Very nice, indeed! Okie

Thank you guys. I really consider myself lucky for this piece. Thanks a lot.

T
Thierry, come on! Linenbacked is not something bad to really whine about that much, especially if you are going to display it and I am sure it would really add some true ambiance on wherever it is hung. Congrats to you, too.
-
No, I really dislike linenbacked poster, and only bought La Belle et la Bête because I believe it's a must own piece and I had never seen it folded anywhere. But now that I see yours, I regret purchasing mine, although I know it could be another 10 years before another folded one resurfaces. Thankfully, I collect a lot of different stuff, so I won't linger on it too long.
I had the poster up for a month or so, but now it's back in a tube.
T

Well, I hope you find an unbacked copy soon. Who knows, maybe someone contacts you tomorrow? Best of luck. 😊
