One of my favorites. I'll come back with some information on him I researched years ago, he was most active 1950 - 1959 for Warner Bros. I have a few nice ones...

Very, very nice. Thanks for bringing it up.

Those are nearly impossible to find.
Just remarkable.

Wendt did some beautiful work. Those are fantastic, Mike.

I wish he had done more. Maybe he was a little old by then (he had already worked in the 30s). He did less than 100, while some German artists painted 500-1000!
His double panels for REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE & EAST OF EDEN I'D love to have. Also the 10,000.- to buy them both :).
Some others I have:

I would love to upload more stuff here at the forum. Maybe I'm the only one who has problems with this website, but uploading isn't much fun unfortunately, for me anyway: I have about 5000 image files of my posters in my computer, files between 200 - 800kb. When I try to upload I get the message "file too big" all the time. At least when I try to upload up to 5 or 8. Then I have to go back and do it all over again, but with maybe 2 or 3 attachments only. Suddenly it works for certain images (500 kb is too small. Up to 800 would be ok)... Takes too much time and I surely don't have the time to downsize 1000 posters images in my computer :).

The Prince and the Showgirl is really nice. I struggle with updating images too, thanks for putting these up - it was worth the effort!

40 years of collecting, but I guess last week for the very first time I bought a poster
because of the artist. The film is nothing special, but is was cheap and I just love Wendt :).

Recently got one of my favorite posters ever...

Great poster! What size is it?
-
That's a great looking poster. I love how Natalie Wood is gazing at Dean. Very cool.
-
Harry, it is a "Din A0 quer" (German double panel, 46x33 inch)
I did get another Wendt I always wanted, being a serious Wayne-collector :). But the film is not important,
to say the least, and it used to be too expensive (for my money anyway, some $400-500), so I had to wait
for 30 years to finally get it "rather cheap" ($200.-):

Amazing posters......my friend would die if he had to wait for anything , much less 30 yrs :P

Great artist that I had not known about until seeing this thread. Thanks for posting these great posters!
-
I had to buy another Wendt, couldn't resist the low price (in the 90s one couldn't find a Flynn - Wendt for less than $750.-). Great early one from 1951 !

What amazing condition, Peckinpah! It looks like under Wendt's signature there is a "37". So, it's original release, too? Beautiful! Okie
-
Well I restored it slightly... tiny paperloss and few damages due to pinholes...But still an A-/B+ :).
Most of Wendt's poster have the year he painted them printed along his signature.
This one states 1951 - which was the German first release (thanks to Adolf & Goebbels Warner Bros.
had not been not distributed in Germany for about ten years...)

The image of the guys fighting on your East of Eden poster is fantastic, Peckinpah! Okie
-
Mike is a double panel the same size as an A0 poster?
-
Yes... I guess I picked up the term "double panel" in international forums.
Over here we never use that term (only "A1", A0"...)
