Ah MAD MAX...I am always in two minds about this movie.
I've never really had a good look at the QUAD...that looks nothing like him!

Phil's cinemarts.com has long been the sole source for Suburban Mayhem.

Yeah, yeah, Ves.  Yours are still the only ones of those I have ever seen, but you never know when some might pop up.

What's the first one?

The Southern Cross aka The Highest Honor.  It was a combined Australian/Japanese production, but mostly Australian.

An aussie Vampire movie that has aged like fine blood, I mean wine. Top notch.

A terrible Aussie "documentary" about sex... and the poster is just as bad.

One for Bruses question.. is it aussie?

and again, Australian film, British Director.

One of my favourite Aussie films..

Anybody got a picture of a "Tim" 1 sheet?  (or one for sale/trade? - I know wrong thread; shoot me!  kinda works here...) The Mel Gibson flic...  My wife actually asked about it; got to seize the opportunity...  Bruce's single auction doesn't have a picture.....

Schan,
I did see the Proposition set on ebay a while ago (not sure if they are still there) but I never got them because their costs to ship to Australia where just ridiculous.
If I come across them again, will let you know.

Ari,
There are several in your post which are clearly MY posters.  This is the last time I will remind you to send them on over.

Matt,
I recently got my RED DOG poster too.  Bit uninspiring I reckon, but ah well whatcha gonna do!

Thought I would add my Aussie gallery...

http://www.abideposters.com/theposters/galleries/Coountries_Australia.html (http://www.abideposters.com/theposters/galleries/Coountries_Australia.html)

I misspelled countries  laugh1 and when I caught it it was too late; too much work right now...

I did have a question: are kiwi posters different than Australian posters.  I've seen some that look like Aussie posters but with weird rating systems...

Yes they are different...sometimes.  But, alot of the time, NZ gets aussie posters to use there, but they whack their own ratings stickers on top of the aussie ones.

Thanks Ted!  I forgot about Razorback.  Here is the Belgian featuring Boris Vallejo art.  To my knowledge, it is the only complete work Boris design used exclusively outside the US.  Also, the international for Mad Max II with art by Oberto.

Sifting through my archives, I also found this US one sheet from another Australian thriller.  Directed by Arch Nicholson, 2nd unit director on RAZORBACK.

DARK AGE trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5V9DXwMZVs4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5V9DXwMZVs4)  Poster looks better than the film. Aaahh well....

Thanks Paul/Neo/Charlie.  Unfortunately, I do not own one of these.  I know it exists, but do not know where one is, or I would probably have it by now  ;D  It's probably one of those posters that you just have to luck into.  I like how its modeled after a trade ad though.  I always felt like the Mad Max campaign should have shifted focus to the car (or at least equal between the character and the car).

I always wanted an interceptor. I interviewed for a job once (QLD Main Roads) in Australia and told my wife if I got it (of course we would have to sell the cars) I was going to buy one or a replica.  (of course I have no idea how much they cost but I know they are a certain make and model)...  Didn't get the job; well they offered me one two levels below the one I applied for, so no go.  Or I could be knocking back a 4X bitter right now...  They should import that to the US...

Stone 1974 advance - an Aussie classic!

BTW if anyone is interested in an original script for this film give me a yell. It it Roger 'Hooks' Ward's personal copy. He also played Fifi in Mad Max and Ritter in Turkey Shoot.

Check out the NZ stamp for under 20. This must have been once they mellowed a bit as originally Stone was banned in NZ. Never seen under 20 restriction on any other poster.
