With the help of Google translate I can make out most of what this says:

Royal Dutch Gymnastics Union K.N.G.V.
 Pentecostal Jubilee Arnhem 1868 1948

art by Tuen vd Veen

printed by N.V. Erven J. J. Tijl Zwolle

20" x 31"

But what is this for?  I still don't get it.  Any ideas?

Could it be an 80th year anniversary poster, celebrating the existence of the KNGV?

It's a beautiful poster, too, John.

Yes, that's it.
The giveaway was the 'jubelfeest.'

Jubels were only eaten on special occasions, usually commemorative feests.
Jubels once roamed the tundra before man curtailed its range through over-hunting and the fur trade.
The horns as we all know, were also in demand in the Far East as an aphrodisiac.
Thankfully, this cyclopean mammal can still be seen in preserves, zoos and breeding facilities throughout the Nordic countries.
Most recently, they were showcased in André Řvredal's comedy-fantasy Troll Hunter (2010).

And, as legend has it, Jubels were only served at feests ending in years ending in '8.'
So there you have it.
 cheers
