Hi Okie!
I THOUGHT you’d gotten it, but wasn’t sure. I’m glad I finally got it sent. I also apologize for all of the typos in the previous note. My stars. How appalling my typing can be. Oops! Cheers!

Hi Monster,

Yes, I sure did receive the cool Gene Tierney paper dolls you sent to me.  I think we texted a bit about how I'm going to display them with my Gene Tierney collection. Thank you again, my friend!  Okie

Thank you Neo, Antoine, Monster, and Crow!  I'm really looking forward to seeing the pressbook in person.  I think the last time I saw one of these pressbooks in person was around 1979/80 at a convention in Oklahoma. I just love how the Bride's hair flows. The condition on this pressbook sure has me excited to see it, too. It's going to be so much fun seeing it framed!  I'll be hosting a Halloween movie night at a local venue here in October and I'm going to put this pressbook on display for the show.

I'm sure glad we have APF to celebrate collecting together!  Okie

T, I was very surprised by that N by NW poster price as well.  I also thought there were several cool posters that seemed like a bargain.  I'm also quite excited to say I bought the Bride of Frankenstein pressbook.  I'll post it once I receive it.  It looks to be in nice condition.  Though, I wish I would have bought it years ago!  Okie

Congrats on a fantastic purchase Okie!
Some people say it's the poor man's insert, but having compared them both in-hand, I can safely say I think the image on the pressbook is much better both in the appearance of Karloff and Hobson, and in the overall "pop" of the coloring. You definitely won't be disappointed on this one.

Whoa, Okie.... That was YOU??? I was watching that out of curiousity. I just now checked the results and ZOWIE! It's gorgeous, but wowzer--soooooo much money! That's like 10x as much as I've ever spent on a poster (which may explain why I have so many holes in my collection...) CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

That's funny, T!  I'm still very surprised that I had the high bid. I've liked that image for a long time and The Bride's flowing hair is so cool.  Once again, Antoine's inspiration from last year helped me make the leap... Okie

Congrats on a fantastic purchase Okie!  You won't regret it, it's truly among the best pressbooks ever produced, for arguably the greatest Universal horror film ever made.  Personally, I think the cover image is the best poster for the movie.

I need to watch the live auctions more often - it's fun, and of course it's good to see the big ballers here winning.  Congrats, T and Okie.

Yes, the image IS that pixilated. Cheap ass poster for a cheap ass movie. Still want to see it--eventually.
Macabre Theatre? New one on me. (Christopher Lee hoted a bad Eastern Euto anthology series called Theatre Macabre (just the opposite), but I am fuessing it is different.
Thanks for visiting Okie. Did I ever mail your "thing"??? Hmm. You mat have already told me is you did.
CHEERS!
