Halloween Film Review poster

Hey everyone, was excited to find this board, just starting to get in to collecting, been slowly moving from gig posters to movies. Thanks to admin for adding me.

Was wondering if anyone knows anything about this poster I picked up at a con last week, seller said it was probably from a single event screening but he wasn't able to tell me much more. Anyone seen this before? I saw a reprint for sale on All Posters or somewhere but there wasn't any info there. Thanks in advance

I'm not entirely sure but I think it's a commercial poster. It's a UK poster for sure. Film Review was a magazine and I've seen a few other titles done in a similar way such as Fight Club. I've seen them for sale in memorabilia shops but I don't think they ever had a theatrical use.

Maybe Paul can help out?

I am with Skyjackers on this one. I am thinking a commercial poster simply because of the measurement on this. I do not think that the UK issued theatrical posters that measure 24x34. But I could be wrong. Maybe our UK poster expert will chime in.

I'm afraid EMP is wrong on this one. It's a commercial poster such as this one:

I've only had a quick look at the pic, but Maurice Speed did the film review books, this is most likely a poster from a book shop to advertise an up coming book on the film Halloween. As these could be from any time period, depending on when the book was released, the date of 2000 if it's stated on the poster will be the correct date. I have a few book release posters myself, they are not part of a films campaign, just an ad for a book release.

If it was a 36x24 it would definitely be a commercial poster, but at that size could well be a store ad.

I'll have a bit of a dig if more info is needed?

Having a quick look around, it maybe a poster put out by Film Review, to make a few extra bob..

Either way it's a Commercial, and most likely worth a couple of Quid.
