And Ford's hand and gun look like actual photos that were "shopped and pasted" in, too. ( or maybe every character on the poster are actually photos, that got the artistic, post-production "touch." His hand and gun were overlooked, maybe..... oops).  :P

Seriously, what surprises me most is that aside from 'Lucasfilm Presents..." there is no credit given to George himself.
Disney ingrates.

While I was at my Cinema guys house this afternoon, he gave my a current "trailer" disc they play through November. I put it on in my Cinema room just now, and Spectre was first on, but in the middle was a Star Wars Trailer, so I got to see it on the big screen in full surround-sound. I have to say, I was absolutely amazed at it. If the film is half as good as what I've just watched, I will be a very happy fellow.  After watching the trailer, I don't think I've looked forward to any other release in recent times, as much as I am with this now.

Even Yvonne had to come in to view it, and she' in the the same mind as I.  Roll on December.

I heard a report on the radio today, that people are already beginning to "camp out" here in LA for the Dec 18th premiere at Grauman's (TCL) Chinese Theater, on Hollywood Blvd.

That sure is dedication.  thumbsup.gif

Just seen the film. All I can say is that I loved it, very much in the spirit of the original trilogy. Won't say more than that as I don't want to spoil it for anyone.

Thanks. Curious what were the audience demographics?
My only concern honestly is c rying in a public setting at the theatre... How will others react (including my 2 brothers)... How will I react?  Will it be embarassing?  Liberating?

I went to an early show in the morning when most people would/should be at work. I thought it would be full of fanboys but although I'm sure all were fans, I would say it was a good cross section of people. It will be interesting to hear what people thought. Oh and I would go with liberating  :)

**SPOILERS**

not really, but sort of.  I really don't want to ruin it for anybody.  There's a lot i liked but overall I have to be honest, I'm disappointed.  Paying homage to the original trilogy is one thing, but this was a bit much. Every plot twist seemed to be recycled from ep 4-5-6.  Some scenes were just overkill.  It had its moments, but a whole lot of lost opportunities for real drama, real connections with the audience.  Some stuff just flat out bugged me, the mask coming off so early, Carrie Fisher's acting.... Luke not giving the movie the warm shot of nostalgia we all deserved?  Well at least he had a beard.

I know, it is what it is, its Disney, its Abrams, its a new generation, i am aging and crusty.  But it certainly failed to strike a chord with the original SW fan in me, and i'd be surprised if it did for any of the kids out there.  A cool sci-fi action flick.  Did you know "Point Break" is also coming out next year?  Sigh.
