July results are in! I sold 97 items for a total of $2,111 and received 1,239.03. That means that eMovies comission was 41.3%. The average selling price was $21.76 and the median selling price was $12. So this time I sold a few high-value items that brought up the average and return after comission, but more than half of the posters sold for $12 or less.

Do you recall what it cost to ship the 2 tubes and box to emovie? My fear of this cost, plus consignment fees, have kept me from sending anything.

If you have a scale.. even a bathroom scale, to give you the approx weights of the tubes and box, and plug those numbers and dimensions into the USPS website (http://postcalc.usps.com/), filling in your zip code and emovie's, you can get a pretty good idea of what each will cost to ship.  :)

Yeah, I was hoping to have a rough idea of what 50 posters in a crush proof tube may weigh before I go to the trouble of rolling them in Kraft paper and getting them in the tube.  ;)

I've consigned items to both emovieposter and heritage and found them hassle-free and easy transactions. The results were fair, considering I over-paid and bought from dealers in the first place.  Doh.gif  Never again. I will only ever buy from these two auction houses in future.

I paid about $100 to ship my posters, including insurance, which works out to something like 30 cents per poster.
