How do you insure your collection?
« on: October 03, 2014, 01:14:17 AM »
What do you do (if anything) for insurance on your poster collection?

  • Rider on homeowner's/renter's insurance policy?
  • Specialized collectibles insurance policy?
  • Other?
  • Don't insure at all?

I have been considering moving to a specialized collectibles insurance policy for my posters.  I would be curious what other members do in this area and what their rationale was for a particular choice.  Different insurers & policies can have wildly varying requirements as far as the need for detailed inventory of the collection, appraisals, etc.  Does anyone have anything specific to recommend?

It was discussed a bit here, too, Deke...

Thanks! I actually searched too but I suspect I was searching within the wrong subtopic or something.

Anyway, some great info in that thread and apologies for the dupe.
