Value 24 sheet VIVA KNIEVEL US poster

Thinking of selling my US 24 sheet Viva KNIEVEL poster but no clue what would be a fair / correct price.
And i cannot locate another (sold) example to compare with.
Anyone seen one for sale lately?

Didn't find it listed in Bruce's archive neither.
Is it this rare?

I would say it is rare, but rare doesn't always mean expensive. The best way is to start it at a reasonable price and see what happens..

But then I have to auction it, might just aswell put it for sale on here.

I'll try to post a picture if it soon, still on holiday for the moment so no acces to my pictures.
I must say it a lot cooler then the other Viva knievel posters,IMO best graphics /design of all.

Ok pics will be for Thursday or Friday,when back home.
I probably have to photoshop a bit cause don't have inside a (free)floor that's big enough,
So I will probably take a few partial pics and photoshop it into one.
If I remember correctly (its been a while in the closet) it has 12 sheets but totals approx 6x3 meters so 24 sheet billboard size.

that is wicked awesome.  My advice would be to go with a high end auctioneer like Heritage.  For top dollar - I think what youre looking for is a collector of all things evil knievel etc - rather than a movie poster collector

Sure is nice, and I think your right, best artwork for the film. Vick may well be right to try selling to a Evil Knievel collector as opposed to poster collectors...

I know of one big Paris auction, always "man-cave" related items, like vintage sevnties toys, pinballs, posters, etc... so might check with them aswell.

but still question remains the same, if someone has seen one for sale, please pass me the sale result.

Don't want to be Danny Downer but I don't think you should plan on retiring from the results of any sale.  Agree it's a neat poster but it's a nothing movie and a really difficult format for most poster collectors.  Agree with thems what think some other related category like motorcycle ephemera would be a better potential audience.

Wasn't planning on retiring yet 
and sure this isn't the winning lottery ticket.
but only have 1 wall big enough to hang it, and that one is reserved for a star wars thingee   
so decided to let it go, it's been in my possesion for more then 5 years and the guy who sold it to me had it from new, straight from the movie theater.
So no rush, but it's been kept in the dark for long enough...

As you can see from my previous posts I'm more into early aviation and tourism posters.
Although I have a few (like a good hoarder would say) movie and other posters aswell.

while I was just being humorous (but serious) I can tell you Joe, you would have to find a special person to get more than $100 bucks for that poster.
it's a low-value title.

Knievel doesn't have near the following he did 30 years ago and and other adventurers have over-taken him

I have a 1976 King Kong billboard and I would be shocked if I could get $200 for that one (if it were for sale that is)

Well I do not buy posters because they are popular (have the correct re-sale audience) or have the correct size.
I just buy what I like.

And true the 1976 king kong I wouldn't buy either, not even for 50 bucks because IMO it's poor artwork.
But I do not dare to speak for others, will be other opinions and likings out there.

Problem is that to many people are into "collecting anything " to gain some (easy) money , and that's a pity.
