Fans of classic exploitation posters will be sad to hear that the British designer and artist Sam Peffer passed away earlier this month, aged 92. Also celebrated for his prolific work on paperback book covers, Peffer's eclectic poster titles include Flesh Gordon, Adventures of a Taxi Driver, Prisoners of the Cannibal God and Werewolf Woman, to name but a few.

This last Sunday the British newspaper The Times published an excellent obituary written by Sam's friend Sim Branaghan, which I've posted below since the website is behind a paywall (right click and open image or save it if you're having trouble reading)
