Wow.  Good find, Jeff. 

According to an article from the Carnegie Science Center, where they had an exhibit with one of the bikes, there were at least 10 bikes made for the movie.  I wonder how many of them are still around?  http://321ride.org/blog/2013/06/12/carnegie-science-center-bikes-exhibit-launches-june-15/

It really is an iconic movie, and the bike is certainly a piece of history.

From that little blurb on the ebay story.. it sounds like a few of the bikes made got damaged or busted, which, can happen by accident or on purpose, depending on the scene it might have been used for.

Even tho currently disassembled, the pieces all look to be in pretty fine shape.

Got to wonder why it is still in pieces.  Looks like a few hours of assembly work would really up the value.  or perhaps bidders can hope it is that easy.
