I got to say, Mel's right. I was given a set of 47Ronin Quads and they are jollyfine for new stuff.

Also in with them was this, which may well be the best of 2013, it looks so much better up close.

This is the most shocking post of the year so far.

The curator of the Waines Museum of British Film Posters, the owner of one of the greatest collections of UK quads I have ever seen (and I haven't EVEN seen it in its entirety yet) is endorsing the Ender's Game quad?

Really?

Waines, if you ever -- and I mean ever -- knock me again for liking Jacko's KONG, I will shame you with three little words -
ENDER'S GAME QUAD?

Posed, photo-shopped and pasted images, DO NOT a great quad make................................ (imo, of course)

It would make a good mouse pad.... or door mat -- (again, imho)   ;D

No-one agree with Mel of any of his best of year posters. Your brain will never be the same again.

P.S. 47 Ronin poster blows chunks

Art is done on the computer these days.  Those ships may look real but someone drew that up in a computer program.  It's time we start appreciating our digital artists.  Heck most of the Mondo stuff is done digitally.  The composition is what makes this one a winner...

Reminded me of:

Reminded me of those too Charlie, and your pic looks sooo much better "large" than my small pic. For a Modern poster it's jollygood.

I don't know, some on this board have no taste…  Jacko's Kong.. ;)

They need to make this poster where the mirrors T-Rex image is jumping out at you like the JP2 lenticular but just the mirror only.

They did make this into a lenticular 3d poster.

No, no, no.
It isn't the digital art.
I dig the digital baby and collect it by the terabyte.

It is the layout, the total lack of inspiration.
It is a 'by the numbers' montage.
Nothing more.
No flair, no creativity, no nothing.
Just fine lines and a limited palette.

Come now, I expect more from you guys than ENDER'S GAME QUAD! mesmrized

^ I agree, floating heads, a security camera each side and some boys in power ranger outfits. I have no idea what the film is supposed to be about from that picture... This is when they should resort to some sex sells...

It's amazing that the literary genre that is the best at being original, thought provoking, exciting, intelligent, and "important" AND the the best cover art can produce the most mundane films and poster art. With notable exceptions of course. And I did like the ender film.
But I'm with Ted. This poster looks like all the others to me. I'd have to LOVE the film to own the poster.

Well I wasn't going to watch Enders Game, just one of those films I didn't fancy.

But now after seeing the Quad I'm not renting the film, I'm going to buy it.  So there. 8) The posters doing what it was designed to do.

Another dismal year for posters. Each year it gets worse and worse.

The only one I liked last year.Surprised nobody had it.

All the classic elements of a great movie poster....just look at the font!! ;)
