Another daybill collector

Hello!

I'm a long time lurker, but I've finally decided to join in the forum fun!

I've been collecting daybills for around 20 years and would have somewhere in the vicinity of 700+ - mainly horror / thriller titles. However, I'm also partial to Blaxploitation / Sexploitation / Exploitation if the art is eye-catching.

I love the thrill of daybill hunting as there seems to be no exact information (that I've ever found anyway) that spells out what films were released in Australia and under what title. For example, just the other day I found a very nice daybill of Jean Rollin's 'The Nude Vampire' - never seen one before, and apart from 'Caged Virgins' (Requiem for a Vampire) I'm not sure I've seen any other Aussie paper for his films.

I'm currently looking for more Euro horror titles - or at least definite answers as to whether they exist. Two examples that immediately spring to mind are Argento's 'Deep Red' and de Ossorio's 'The Ghost Galleon / Horror of the Zombies'. Just about all of Argento's 70's films were released in Australia, but I've never seen a trace of 'Deep Red'. Similiarly, The other 3 films in de Ossorio's Blind Dead series were all released here, so why not the 3rd film?

Hopefully I'll be able to swap some knowledge with other collectors out there! Looking forward to it...

If you're asking would I like a Blood Diner daybill then the answer is yes! If you're asking do I have one to spare then the answer is no.
