Does anyone have info on the printer, A.P.E. Roma, and when they might have been in business?

I found some info that suggests they did posters in the 1930's and 40s but don't know how thorough that time frame is.

I tripped across these...kind of interesting...

HA sold a pair of photobustas for GWTW, in 2010. They are described as being from 1948. What is interesting is that 1948 also appears on the lower right corner of each piece. But imdb suggests that GWTW didnt first play in Italy until 1951.

However, when I was looking closely at these, something immediately popped off the page that says these are most likely from the early 1970s. And that was the MGM logo (leo the lion) used on both. This logo was created and used by MGM starting in the 1960s thru 1982, for their film posters. The distributor, CIC, was started in the early 1970s by Paramount and Universal.

In 1973, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer closed down its distribution offices and became a partner in CIC, which took over international distribution for MGM's films.

So is the 1948 more likely a code or cataloging number of some kind?

I only consentrate on the 50s-70s era , sorry......but that is prolly re-issue , yes.

If FAF$M/007 TB is Policrom then 007 GF should be Policrom as well (GF came out early '65 in Italy)

The MGM logo, if nothing else (well, the CIC distributor name, too), are the dead giveaways that it is a 70s RR (imo).

Even the font styles used look much too modern.

"prima di edizione" is irritating collectors for ages now.
It doesn't mean anything really and (mostly) just states to year the film was released
(or any paper was printed) for the first time in Italia...

One has to go by distributor / paper quality / design / printing quality (regarding reproductions, also by the distributors).

I don't have many Italian one Panels, but the ones I have seem to be on very poor quality paper. Is this typical? French paper seems to be higher quality, but maybe it is the examples that I have that are bad.

Newby question but does anyone have any information on Rome based printers ROTOEDIT? Active 70's to 90's?... or beyond? Can't find much info online about them.

Hello there! My name is Anthony and I have an inquiry that could be resolved with your knowledge. My friends and I are making a movie about an Italian L'esorcista 1974 poster that has been in my family home for generations but it was sadly lost to a fire. There were no photos taken but the only information that was given to us about the poster by my relatives was: It was a big poster, a 2 fogli or 4 fogli and portrayed the classic L'esorcista poster imagery of the man outside the home. But the really different aspect of this poster is that it had the phrase: "Una ragazza posseduta dal demonio sconvolge L'America" at the top or bottom. I've been searching non stop for a poster with that phrase and I have had no success. Either I found the phrase but the imagery is different or the imagery is there but there is no phrase. I guess my question to you is, do you know if there was a poster with those two characteristics ever produced? Did Sericolor produce something like that? I apologise for the weird question, I've been searching for weeks with no luck. Hope you can help me.
