Don't have a screenshot but in the very first scene of The Lego Movie, Emmet (the lead character)'s apartment is shown and he has some movie posters (can't remember which ones).

Not good enough

Allow me translate for Mel:

remember what it was that I saw."

How about a poster shop within a film...

Saw this in Last Action Hero.  Wonder if it was a real shop?

This was a real poster shop. Down on the Venice Beach boardwalk, here in so Cali.

It's no longer open but you can see the remains of the painted name on the front of the store.  ;)

I was down in Venice today and snapped a pic of the old Mr No Poster Shop. The sign on the rear side of the building has been painted over, but here's how it looks, from basically the same spot, 21 years later:

Bump...

to "re-follow" on the heels of BigBoss's article that he posted showing posters in other films. Some other good examples shown here, too!  :D

Don't get a chance to see quads and double crowns too often, so these scenes from Quatermass and the Pit are fun:

Remember that lovely Brigitte Helm poster Jeff posted a little while ago? I caught a glimpse of it in the most wonderful of all of Fritsch's musicals Ich bei Tag und du bei Nacht

...

This German poster, for the 1929 German film, Manolescu - Der König der Hochstapler, and featuring a striking image of Brigitte "Metropolis" Helm, sold for $799.00, on the bay yesterday.  clap clap

stealing this from RichardEvans, I dont think he is a member here (is on NSF)

anyway in MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE

I guess apart from being repros (of course), the date on the films is wrong for the era and for each other.

But anyway its all a game

I thought it would be fun to start collecting screen shots of posters seen in films or television shows a few months ago and then post them here to see if the elite could identify them!  Just a different and fun way to talk about the hobby and the films we all love!  Working at Starz and watching a thousand films has afforded me a small collection so far so I'll post the first one.  Forgive the iPhone picture of my work monitor but it's the best I can do...

Name the poster, size and one unique fact about it.  Bonus points if you can name the film this screen shot is from...

A little side detail caught my eye in this screen grab. It was the block number on the street sign, indicating that drug store was on the 10600 block of Hollywood Blvd.

That block is actually up in the Hwd Hills, north of Sunset Blvd. In that area, Hwd Blvd snakes and winds its way, and is residential. Here's what the 10600 block actually looks like:

From Boardwalk Empire - I do wonder the significance of the choice of Street Scene..
