If you're looking for a crafty, low-budg alternative for minor poster repairs, just tried this stuff and it seems to work well (although call me back in ten years and we'll see how it holds up)! Of course, I'd recommend testing it out first on your less valuable posters...

I use the Filmoplast P90 on posters I never intend on having backed...
