Maybe he's buying posters up and destroying them because he's an agent for the Studio's.  O0

Honestly, what I know about this person fills a thimble. But I wouldn't tell you about him, any more than I would talk about YOU all to him!

One thing I should correct. He bids a lot, and early, but he doesn't win all that much (easy to confirm if you look at the results gallery after the auctions end).

He bids high for what he wants, but not crazy high.

Is this him?   Jaws1975 (aka "Chris the Bodyguard") is on MySpace and has pictures of himself with movie posters.

That guy on the right looks like Kirk Hammett from Metallica!

That would be crazy if that is him.  I know Kirk is a huge collector and I believe that Metropolis insert being sold at Heritage this month is his.

Well now that we have a name and face for JAWS, someone should invite the big teddy bear over here!  Does anyone have a myspace account?

That's a beautiful poster and one hell of an amazing guitar player.

The game is still afoot!  But CK has an awesome Jaws prop collection - supposedly the "world's largest."

By the way, there are several others on the Internet using the alias Jaws1975 but none seem likely candidates.  I induced that Jaws1975 likely used the same alias in other Internet endeavors.  Since CK posed in the picture with the Black Lagoon poster, he seemed likely.  If the real "Jaws1975" is using the alias just on Emovie, we'll have to find some other way to track him down.

Love this one, Ted ... ;D

Let alone the thread, in general (come back little Jeannie!) - along with the side chatter about bidder, 'jaws1975'

This is a funny thread as the other guy in the photo with Kirk is Kevin Clement who runs the Chiller Theatre convention (and is a long-time serious poster collector).

What kinds of material (genres) does he collect, Sean? I'm thinking/guessing he's a big horror guy, too?

Id suggest, that while there are/were printers proofs,  usually these are UNTRIMMED posters, so many turn up, and believe me printers dont need many proofs. going on a limb, call me out, whatever, but I dont think they are.

(havent even looked at this auction)

Ive designed many posters, catalogues adverts etc for the company I work for, we get A proof, sign it, OK, or not, thats it, why print 50? or even 20? its either right or not.

So, I say UNTRIMMED 1 SHEET

Kill me

Ari. I was about to throw this box away (not a poster, but you will see my point)... and as I collapsed it, I noticed that it was possibly an untrimmed printer's proof, as the color bars had not been trimmed off! I knew I had to share this with you.

And here, i was almost going to put this into the recycling bin! What's your thought on this item?  ;D ;D
