Hi, Im new to this forum firstly, Im looking for some advice as to where to get valuations from, I have about 17 australian daybills which came from the collection of John Reid, these are horror/sci-fi, earliest is 1946 Bedlam ranging through to 1968  a space odyssey, other posters include
1954 On the waterfront, 1977 Star Wars, 1964 a hard days night, 1970 let it be, 1982 bladerunner, plus many more, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As John is an experienced dealer, I'd say, they are valued at what you paid for them give or take.

Sounds like some nice posters!  That Bedlam is probably pretty awesome.

Hello, carreraboy,

Were you looking for opinions on the value of your posters or to sell them?  Notices of posters for sale should go in the "For Sale/Trade" section of the forum.

I'll trade something for Bedlam, and yes if your fishing for sales, wrong section. But regardless.

Putting a price on a poster is your choice.  Valuation is subjective. I'm glad you were able to get some suggestions on how to valuate your posters.

The sale of them, however, belong in the For Sale/Trade section.  What appeared to have started out as a valuation thread became a for-sale one.  This is a kind request for you to place any for-sale posts in the For Sale section.

Thanks,
Jeannie

You're welcome, carreraboy.

I did want to add that I wasn't trying to be critical or punitive in anyway.  We're just trying to keep APF free of ads and dealer sales pitches except in designated areas.  I've been cracking down on this since there are certain sellers who are known for taking advantage of any opportunity and any creative means to get their sales seen in the more populated sections of the forum.  I knew you weren't trying to sneak something in, otherwise I would have moved this thread.  Good luck to you on getting what you want for your posters.  And welcome to APF!
