what can i expect to pay for these
« on: July 11, 2012, 07:38:54 PM »
Here's a list of some of the posters i'd like to get my hands on
anyone know the going price for decent examples in 1sheets or quads

Far and Away starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman
Henry V - starring Laurence Olivier
Michael Collins - starring Liam Neeson and Julia Roberts
The Commitments - directed by Alan Parker
The Miracle - directed by Neil Jordan
My Left Foot - starring Daniel Day Lewis and Brenda Fricker
Reign of Fire - starring Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey
Isolation-starring John Lynch, Essie Davies, Sean Harris, Ruth Negga
Into The West- Starring: Gabriel Byrne, Ellen Barkin.
Excalibur-starring Gabriel Byrne, Helen Mirren, Nigel Terry

some are old and some are more modern but can anyone guess the connection between them all?
the connection is why i'd like to own them  ;)

Search auction histories for emovieposter and ebay.  That said, I do not see any titles that command a high price.  Which version of Henry V are you looking for?

Not only filmed in Ireland...but filmed in my home town  ;D

I actually drove through the set for regin of fire one night on my way to buy some snacks, the whole main street was full of burned out cars and tanks on fire and i heard someone yell "CUT"....I didn't hang around  :P

also made a few props for some of them and i appear in the miracle (woeful movie)  for like .35 secs  ;D

just taught i should at least have a few poster from my local studio  8)

That's a nice poster  8)

And I know far and away is a bit shocking but i have memories of watching some of the scenes being shot and meeting the 2 main stars

A friend of mine was an asst editor on REIGN OF FIRE and she got me the OS. Pretty cool imagery, have to say, as this era is far and away from what i collect. (1950s and earlier).

It's certainly a great poster Jeff (as is the Quad!), I think it's the provenance that helps make it cool for you. I like those stories that go with posters, much better than "I bought this at auction..."

The one sheet is nice aswell but i prefer the quad with the full dragon and the stupid helicopter. Only stupid because it made me late for work one morning while they crashed it into the mountain next to my house...over and over again....sometimes these movie folk can get on my tits  moron1

We just had Neil Jordan back making a vampire movie and i got held up again while two female vampires attacked some guy in a BMW....That's the trouble with this town.....to many Damn vampires  ;D
