Before and After [Show Off Your Restoration]

[Matt]

And the fog has lifted in New York. Sweet!!!

[CSM]

All three are a great transformation.  Amazing what a wash and bleach can do!

Plus the Dario restore part, each had a few holes and tears he needed to patch/fix

David,

What was (or caused) the cloudy /foggy appearance on your Taxi Driver, pre-restore?

Come closer and and I'll fog up all over those sexy legs of yours... ;)

Lunch-break, getting out of the sun after painting all morning. Forgot this one which is also on just finished. Originally I bought it to flip it, but my wife saw it and insists we keep it and it gets framed. Yeah the story behind it is cool but I've never seen the movies and she has, hence she has decided we keep it. She wins. So I got it restored for her, she thinks Dario is an artist and a lovely man...

Yikes!!! That's why I live 700 odd km's away.

You say 'yikes' but your heaving chest says come closer, still got our house in Melbourne if you want me to move closer...and it's 1000km, I know we drove it.

[Matt]

Driven it many times myself too, that's why I prefer to fly the 700 and no no...you stay right where you are. Too many daybill collectors here as it is. Don't need another one snooping round the place. :P

[Silhouette]

Now I gotta wait, this one, along with a bunch of others are today going to be winging their way to me. Can't wait.

Thanks again to Dario Casadei http://www.vintagemovieart.ca/

[CSM]

Another amazing resurrection!  Well done Dario...

[Silhouette]

Just got the update from Dario, my newest pet will be winging its way to me shortly - thanks Thanks Dario!!

Now all I have to do is organise some more frames and let my wife know I've nearly filled the walls up in the spare bedroom (and can I start hanging more in another one)

[brude]

clap clap clap   clap clap clap  What a handsome pooch!

[Matt]

Pluto will be smiling for many years to come. ;)

[Mirosae]

[Matt]

That came up a treat!  thumbup

May I ask who restored it?

Thanks Matt- It was here in the UK, Alain Bourgouin at http://www.posterscience.com/

I too thought that it looked great..

[brude]

Nice poster, Mirosae.

It looks to me as if the only 'damage' were the fold lines.
Did you just have the lines touched up or did you have the poster linen-backed as well?

Thanks Brude, it is linen-backed as well. I normally go for linen-backing on 70s posters, the paper is just too thin (or at least the ones I have are a bit too thin)...

[brude]

Very cool.
The Christmas teaser is my favorite from the film.
cheers

Now that you have the Photobucket functions down pat, we're all interested in what other beauties you have in your collection.
Start your own thread, post away...give us a good-see.
Excuse me if I'm pushy.  wynk
