Son of Frankenstein Mirror
« on: April 14, 2012, 09:21:09 AM »
Anybody know anything about the origins of this item?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270955741134&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123

I picked one up a few years back and don't know a thing about it.  No markings, no nothing.
It's obviously a silkscreen.

No idea unfortunately Ted.  But it's pretty cool.

I guess kids (and big kids like Ted) could look in the mirror and pretend to be Igor/Lugosi?

What's really nice about it is that it's the one movie piece I can hang in the bath with worrying about moisture damage.
I was wondering if there were other poster designs done in this fashion.
Seems odd that SOF is the only one I've seen.

There was many Celebrity mirrors done over here, but I've never seen a Universal Horror one...

Great item Ted, I hope you don't use a cut-throat while using that mirror....
It's more than a Hobby...

Ted,

Looks like he re-listed it and dropped the opening bid by 20 bucks.

He/she says its from the 1950s? Looks a lot newer than that, to me, wouldnt you say?

And the corrugated cardboard backing looks a bit water stained, too.   :(
