even though I like his work as much as the next guy Louie, there are other artists I like more.
I did have the Uncle Creepy portrait painting that was sold as a wall print by Warren pubs on my wall for a while at one point. But I sold it for $17k back in 1990 or so which was a really high price at the time

all the other Frazetta piantings I sold were bought as a dealer to sell or even just middle-man from one owner to another. I can't remember he all, but I've sold the Gollum paperback cover from the 70s or 80s, a Blazing Combat cover (the one with the dead soldier in his buddy's arms while he firing his machine gun) and 3-4 more that I can't remember. I've also sold a number of book plates, a number of Johnny Comets, EC pages... sold alot of Frazetta.. That stuff is all worth alot more today. I would guess the Conan portrait must be $150-$300k now

I've known Bill Stout for many years. I flew him out as a guest along with Olivia when I used to run comic cons in Cincinnati in the late 80s. Bill had me drop him off at one of the big art museum during the extra day so he could chat with the museum director about exhibiting his travelling exhibition of dinosaur paintings (they had it)

I have several of his books with drawings on the blank pages in front that Bill did for me.

ones I can remember are King Kong, and Frankenstein (Karloff) characters that Bill and I share a common in. Bill is one of the best people around... Great all around guy

supposedly it is derived from a pick pocket term. The poke being the target.
