I'm definitely happy they went to good homes.  And frankly I'm equally happy to be rid of them!  They were going to be part of my UK Bond poster collection... but I quickly realized that I was having enough trouble just trying to track down the quads I wanted. The DCs would have been a whole other can of worms.  Glad I nipped that in the bud before it got out of hand too!

Bruce got some decent prices tonight.
Was very interesting watching it all.
Who is that pi guy? He got a few as well.

The Everything or Nothing poster for $815.00 (around £525.00) was about right going from recent prices.

I have to say that FightClub12's last post was a good one.
And when you think about it, he is right (or at least that's what I think).
I think I was most impressed by Raziz 'someone' who cleaned up to the tune of god only knows how many $.  Bought all the right stuff to create a top draw collection, inc a Goldfinger quad that I bailed on, a grand under what it went for.

Yup - agreed.

I don't want for this to become flame-worthy, but by reading a bunch of incredulous responses to the prices of things on here, I'd just like to point out that you guys are not the infallible kings of valuation. Things that seem worthless sell for a lot, and things that are rare sometimes lose value. It's all a fucking gamble. It is the way of the world.

If buying and reselling higher was so easy, every single person would do it. But they don't because most people lack A) a feel for the current taste of the masses, and C) an anticipatory sense of value.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that we often, and incorrectly, view the objective value of something through the subjective prism of our interests, and we find anyone else's taste is something different thoroughly incomprehensible. This applies to almost everything -- food, clothing, music, religion, and yes, even printed color paper..

btw, was there a B) ?

Great auction, and it's funny talking about this Raziz buyer.
They could be looking at this thread right now laughing at us trying to find out who (s)he is lol.

Bruce mentioned somewhere about themed auctions.
What do you lot think about them?
I think they're great.
Best wishes,
Adam

Over my dead body, Bruce.  I mean it.

I actually have to put a bigger sign on my website, because I'm sick and tired of people asking me if I sell.

You think?

Check this one out...  http://auctions.emovieposter.com/Bidding.taf?_function=detail&Auction_uid1=2794781

The last one sold for 2k about a year ago, so it seems the price has held.  If you find one for less from a reputable dealer let me know.

I know it's in great condition but $610 for this!?!

For a Few Dollars More sold for $400 more than one a couple of months ago with a few tears and marks.  I guess the question is how much is condition worth to you?

The newest member of the PPP says the "Good, The Bad & The Ugly" daybill has never sold (to my knowledge) anywhere near that price and it's MUCH, MUCH rarer...

A bigger sign won't stop them, removing your email address that is on the site will probably slow them down considerably
