Darn missed another one...  Wonder what his max bid was?  It really sucks to be a collector - probably bought by a dealer to fix and flip...

this title is printed on notoriously lowgrade paper.

Personally I think the Superman title is currently under valued and a good title to pick up....

I agree Dale, particularly for the less common styles of paper. There are some very iconic images associated with the title and I think this will become increasingly sought after in years to come.

I have a feeling we will be seeing more of those come to market now. Blew past my bid as well.

Those Int. posters are always tricky for me. Yes, Bruce has not auctioned off but three of the Int. Xmas Story, but that in and of itself does not make it "rare."  But, the Int. does have the best artwork in my opinion.

The spectacular Sullivan's Travel poster ballooned from $955 to $3,730 in the last two minutes.  With 63 watchers, that was no surprise.  I got left behind at $3,000 and I've heard a rumor somebody else here bid $3,100.  This particular one was in exceptionally good condition, but it had a sizable hole in the upper crossfold, which required LBing to repair, which I think slightly brought down the price.  I expected it to go for at least $4,000 and my bid wasn't that serious.

More noticeable (and what could have affected the price even more) than the small crossfold hole and bottom border chips and dings (easily repaired by the likes of John Davis or Dario), is what looks to be an overall, slight faded appearance to the poster. (This could be due to lighting but the image(s) is/are what prospective buyers judge by). The seller states that they use no flash, which is good, in order to avoid "blowing out" images.

Here is an image of a copy that Bruce sold back in 2009. The blue background, Lake's red dress, her hair color and the yellow, title font appear to be much more bold and vibrant on Bruce's copy; next to it, today's sale image:

Agreed 100%.  Posters like this have zero appeal to me.  But then again, that's what makes this hobby interesting.  Different taste for different people.
