I just call them how I see them...  Anyone who had to work hard to earn 33K wouldn't drop it on a poster.  So that only leaves trust fund babies, credit default swap brokers, CEOs who pad there wallets instead of giving bonuses to the real workers, oil sheiks, sports stars, Leonardo, or someone else who duped Manhiem out of money...

It's like if a car dealer buddy said "Hey I sold a Maserati today!"; really I am so happy for that rich fuck who can afford one.  Thanks for reminding me how not rich I am, but yeah glad you got a commission. You better buy me a fing beer now, ya jerk... Now where did I park the Honda?

yeah, we only had it a few weeks, we got it from an animal shelter (an adult cat) and a few weeks later it was very sick, spent 2 weeks going to the vets, and taking home, and it died. Was very sad. The vet said he knew the cat, and that he told the owner it had "cat aids" so the owner, rather than have it put down or treated, obviously took it to the animal shelter, and left us to not only pay for the cat, foot the vet bills (a couple of grand in the end) but break a 3 year old girls heart. Assholes.

Damn Ari - that's a crappy story.

I much prefer your random life experience anecdotes :)

I probably don't agree on some of that, but I'll stop nitpicking.  If you feel alright about making broad generalizations like that, then fair enough...  Now where did I park my Camaro?   8)

I saw Silence of the Lambs recently, and the dog in that movie was named "Precious" also.

Very sad story, indeed, about the cat, Ari.

I guess if you can judge, then so can I...  cheers

I commend someone for having the taste to buy that poster and yeah I could be totally wrong; it might be a guy like you or me (More like T or Holiday) that made an investment purchase.  But what is the fun in that?  I'd rather ridicule the fictional rich asshole who has a WOTW 1/2 sheet, when we don't and presumably never will.  (Unless I hit the lotto or successfully patent air...)

Now where did I park my WOTW 1/2 sheet?

yeah it is, thanks, but long time ago now, my little girl is 18 this year, and the next cat she got a couple of years later is still alive and kicking!

re rich people and buying expensive posters (or cars)posters etc.

In all honesty everyone here is rich compared to most of the worlds population.

So count your lucky stars even if all you have is a laminated Pretty Woman repro.

Bride of Frankie goes for $8K:

So what do you all think?  Was this a fair price?  High?  Low?  There has only been one sold before between Christie's, eMovie and HA... it was at HA, but it was badly faded and only brought $5K.  However, the other card with the bride on it (not a close up, but with the Monster) goes for more... $8K faded at HA and $12K in better condition years ago at eMovie/Christies.

This one was a bit nicked up, but the colors are fantastic.
