Somethin' about that word and the way it's spelled.
I'll have to see how they can work it onto my tombstone.

"Farq it, he kark'd it."

Yeah, that's the ticket.

Are you surprised at how low it went for or how high?  I've bought from that seller before snd they now doubt have some great stuff. However, the condition either seems to be totally un-used or very heavily used -- many multiple sets of pin holes, rough folds, tape, lots of wear, etc...

Harry, i had no response either way. I just know that this OS has gone for varying amounts over time and happened to notice this recent auction. It was more for pointing out a recent sales price for this piece.

It seems to me like a fair price. I've seen VG-FN condition rolled examples of this poster go for $300-400ish on EMP. But this one is folded and looks to be in rougher shape. Looks like some possible tears, fold wear, pin holes, etc.. Since the single picture is very small, it's hard to make a good condition grade, so I imagine many people were hesitant.

Also, the last three similar (G-VG Folded) examples on EMP went for $86-$111, so the selling price here (plus $25 S/H) seems to be right in the ballpark.

I was watching a few of this seller's auctions. The NOES sold for less than I thought it would.  I would have guessed 150-170.  I was aiming at the Over the Edge poster but that one went for more than I was expecting.

Maybe this is old news, but have you seen that Heritage sold a set of black swan posters for $1500 in 2011 and $1100 in the last sale?  That's pretty amazing for such new material.
Best regards,

I wonder how much a set of DS ones would go for?

I love how you find `kark it' amusing. I remember referring to someone as a `yobbo' when I was travelling around Arizona with a nice young American lady a few years back and she found the word hilarious (not that she could say it properly!)

re yobbo - hayseed, perhaps, although I think of hayseed as simple, harmless (?). Yobbos are likely to come over uninvited, drink your beer, play ACDC and root your wife, while vomiting on your grandmother (and if not in reality they might think its a good thing to tell their mates they did).

ONE more thing for now, you wouldn't say kark the yobbo. It would be I hope the yobbo karks it.

ONE more thing for now, you wouldn't say kark the yobbo. It would be I hope the yobbo karks it. I think it comes from Kick/s the bucket, down to kick/s to kark (not sure thats a guess).

I might kark it, I might kick the bucket.

We should start a thread devoted to regional slang and general name-calling.
This way when we cross borders on missions of poster acquisitions, we are not caught unawares.
