enki I'd also check to make sure the two small bits of text bottom left and right are on the one they're selling (which are on the CineMasterpieces version) as they don't seem to be on the image on their website.

Interesting point, I missed that. Since they are the manufacturer of the poster, maybe they just pulled the background image to use for their storefront, and the silver text is added/stamped on afterwards? Or maybe they made two different versions? It's certainly the same type of poster.

I don't really plan on buying one, unless the cost is extremely low. I was more curious about what they charge for it. Maybe I could buy a couple dozen in bulk for $25/poster, consign them all to Dave, and make $125 profit on each one!  ;D

So, did anyone on this friggin' board win anything from Mallam's?
There were a lot of posters that went under the hammer.
But, I don't recall seeing any juicy pics...

I've won a few, but after the reports of the condition of these pieces, I'm not sure if they will look anything like the pics. AND they have to arrive safely here in Amsterdam.... I went for a few Mitchums, worth almost nothing but slightly more interesting art, Jean Simmons (outbid almost evry time) and of course Michael Powell (outbid very quickly, still no idea why, not really expensive ones usually).

Wanted this one aswell, A TOWN LIKE ALICE

And a few bonuses added in the lots, these ones I like quite a lot

I heard from the buyers of the Dracula and the To Catch a Thief. They are both customers of eMoviePoster, but neither is on this board.

I would be amazed if that auction house has another auction of movie posters, unless they find another theater filled with old posters.

So, what vintage horror quad is Paul Waines buying for Yvonne's 30th?
If I remember correctly, she bought you a THING RR?
One good turn deserves another, eh?

She sure did Ted, and a First men in the moon Quad, but I knew about that one at the time...
She's talking shiny metal with bits of grit stuck in it.... ;)  I did try to convince her that we
need a Brides of Dracula urgently, but to no avail... eyeroll Women...

No, I'm thinking of the large date slapped across Grace's face....not a good surprise to get when opening a poster worth that much...
Maybe they got a good close up before bidding...? doubt it though.

Does anyone know anything about this poster? Couldn't really find any info on it. This thing was at like $60 and it jumped to $385 in like the last 5 seconds of the auction. I think its an international but the seller says its 27x40? Any thoughts?

I cant say for certain because I have never seen this poster in person.. But from glancing at the pics that Evil Dead looks like it could be legit .. Its just an intl one sheet.

The huge jump in bidding, must be an indication of the authenticity and desireability of the poster..
I wouldn't think there would be allot of stoopid buyers in such a bidding war.

I've never seen that style for sale.

Congress Video Group used the art for their 1989 video release.

Wow, great Evil Dead poster.  If it is legit that is awesome.  I think the Aussie video poster used similar-ish chainsaw artwork, but it is a considerably smaller poster.  I've never seen this one before...
