That's your opinion, totally amateurish artwork, much like a lot of Australian daybills.

And argentinean one sheets, and so many others.... But we love 'em  ;)

And sucker of the year goes to Ha270424 for paying $655 for ONE MILLION YEARS B.C./SHE British quad. They paid about three times more than it was worth!  WOW what is it about this poster on emovie that everyone acts like it's so rare?!?  Bruce has got to be loving that result, is that a record for that poster?

I saw a couple surprises in the auction tonight.  Always amazes me how prices can fluctuate so wildly from auction to auction...

you have to understand that Bruce has bidders that only bid at his site (as does Heritage, and as do myself) so the bidders won't see that poster again until Bruce has one again. To those types of buyers, the item is as rare as how often it is that the auctioneer is selling it

http://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign&myfrom=menu

Benefits of consigning through us:

The only work you do is getting your items to us. We do everything else!
No hidden commissions or fees, and no "fine print". We stand by what we say and will never mislead you.
We NEVER buy items from you (as almost every other auction house does) because that would put us in direct conflict with our consignment based business, and we would be on "the opposite side" from you, needing to buy your items for a low price. When you consign to us, we are "on the same side" so if your items sell for more, then you get more and we also get more. This means we are highly motivated to get the most for your items.
You get an audience of 10,606 movie paper collectors who know us (many have been buying from us for 22 years) and who know that we always describe everything honestly and usually send purchases out within two business days of receiving payment, very securely wrapped in specially made extra-strong boxes and tubes. This makes bidders more likely to bid on an item we're offering than one offered by someone unknown to them (like you!).
Since we auction on a regular schedule every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday offering 1,000 to 2,000 items a week, bidders are more inclined to look over our auctions because we will probably have something to interest them. There are thousands of people who check our auctions every single time, and who would probably miss your item if it is auctioned any other way, because they simply don't have the time to check out other auction sites on a regular basis!

I had a great day today! I saw my doctor who said I am in wonderful shape overall, and I played catch with a softball with my 9 year old son and 7 year old daughter for about 45 minutes, and we agreed that all three of us need to play outside more and be on computers and watch TV far less. Now we have to stick to it!

Well it certainly makes the prices I've seen on vendors sites look like a steal (and they're $100+ too high).  I've been wanting one of these for a while, but I'm not crazy enough to pay those prices. It's clear by now I'm never going to buy one through emovie.  I'm all for loyalty but there's a certain point where the lines of loyalty and stupidity are blurred, this is one of them.  You can get that poster for half the price shipped (and I've been told that still too high) from a couple very trustworthy vendors.  A little research you'd save over $300.

While not a Berwick FRANK teaser (so far), this Turkish SON OF FRANK finished nicely today ($1057.00) in Bruce's auction:

It was the second highest bid item, only beaten out by the UK quad for THE ITALIAN JOB, which finished at $1335.00:

Coming in at third, the UK quad for ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. ($655.00)

I wonder if anyone will be able to figure out if the Son of Franky is a re-release or not?

3 extremely unappealing posters, IMO, especially for the price.

You're crazy Thierry - the Franky looks great.

But I could give two shits about the other two - so maybe you're only 1/3 crazy ;)

I had been watching this WC auction, too, this evening, on ebay. Up until the last 8 seconds, the price stood at 24.00. Then it jumped to the winning bid of 570.00, in the final few. It had been trimmed pretty severely, missing about 2" off the left side and about 6" (including the blank, white advert area) on the top:

Sorry Chris, never been a Frankenstein fan.  Dracula, huge fan.  Frankenstein is just too ugly for me.  Some posters are great, make the best of his appearance, but this one doesn't.  Ugly colors, ugly drawing.  IMO, of course.
